Overall, my stay far exceeded expectations. The room was well-equipped, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The front desk staff were patient and friendly, always ready to help with any issues. It made check-in a breeze! The room was very quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep on my first night in Datong. I forgot to take pictures, but the room matches the description perfectly, and the decor and facilities are all very new.

This is a relatively new Holiday Inn Express with the latest design. It offers good value for an overnight stay (just over 200 yuan in the off-season, including breakfast). The room size and facilities are decent. My only complaints are the bedding and bed, which weren't very comfortable, and the poor soundproofing, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. The sliced noodles at breakfast were quite tasty, though.

Take my advice: if you're coming to Datong, you absolutely must choose this hotel, especially if you're driving!

The most delightful surprise was the smart room control system, allowing one-touch adjustment of curtains and lights, which felt very high-tech. Breakfast was varied and abundant, with both Chinese and Western options, and the freshly cooked noodles and 'daoxiao mian' (knife-cut noodles) were particularly authentic. Whether for a business trip or a family vacation, this hotel offers incredible value for money. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Datong!
