A review that was long due but delayed due to unavoidable circumstances. we had the lovely privilege to share our lamahatta experience with the folks over there at lamahatta resort. 4th and 5th feb 2023 room no 403 :) our host Mr Diwas and his family were incredible just to sum it up in a word. you will get bombarded by the sheer presence of huge hilly trees which engulf this area the moment you reach the hotel. it is a two story multi layered building run by Diwas and his group together and trust me the place is nothing short of family! from evenings spent infront of the fireplace to every meal being hand made with love and respect, this was a trip that both my partner and i needed due to our long tiring work life shenanigans. if you do not fall among the group of obnoxious travellers, you will have a blast here. from being guided by the *** himself on unknown tours to playing with the many furry friends over there to trying out the local delicacies to visiting the lamahatta famous park( make sure to go early morning else the place gets crowded),lamahatta was a fresh breath of air for us which had all the creature comforts that we like and also was a rare minute of privacy before we headed to darjeeling from here. everything was taken care of. from hot water to proper amenities to clean rooms to everything. attaching some phone taken photos in no order just for a glimpse! the host has more upcoming properties coming around tinchuley and etc so do keep an eye out for that as well. lot of properties in this area ***** with a small cafe and what not but we decided to stay with the best and it paid off.. happy travels to my fellow travellers and for Diwas and co, see you soon! take care :) from mayur and rupkatha.
