Awesome stay at Casero Kolkham booking done through Mr Shantanu Paul and the warm receptive nature of Mr Haribahadur and his family who took care of everything during our stay. Locations and view are superb we were lucky on the final day to get the full view of Kanchanjunga as the sky was clear... If you are booking this homestay then go for the upper deck only as the view is awesome from small attic room which is available only on the upper deck. We got to stay day one on the upper deck and day 2 on the lower deck ( ground floor) .

There is a small sandwich at breakfast, it is 7:30-9:30, the view of the roof is good, you can see the snow mountain directly, the service is very good, the luggage is not allowed to mention, the dinner is vegan, relatively cheap The taste is not bad, they are all very good~

The staff are very accommodating and warm, and location is perfect - it's a 10 min walk from the mall but is high enough to have a stunning outlook that places on the mall don't see. We actually had some medical issues during our stay here that prolonged our trip, and the team were so understanding and flexible, helping us keep our room on level 6 as long as possible (we recommend this room, best view!). Delicious breakfasts too

Istana is one of the best hotels, I have visited. Me and my family had went on a trip to Darjeeling. There we stayed in Istana. This was one of the best trip I've had because, I got to stay in a delightful resort. Even though the extra beds and blanket provided in the room unfortunately weren't comfortable to sleep in, however the place was very peaceful and was located in a great place, the rooms were pleasant and clean, food is excellent , as well as the room services, seeing that everything was neatly arranged and managed it gave us an appealing vibe, the ambience of the place gave a homely and relaxing feeling, which made us feel much devoid of any worries. I was more than delighted to meet the staffs since they were very friendly, attentive and people who were very committed to their job. I picked up a few names of the staffs within the hotel who are Alex, Sarroj pradhan, Digendra thapa who were very generious, flexible and polite. I personally liked how the hotel not only focused on the outside but paid attention to the details. I believe that this is one of the best retreats I've been so far. I can truly vouch the service that was more than welcoming Overall i had a great experience and would surely recommend this hotel.

One of best hotel in darjeeling to stay between the beautiful mountains, the view of hills/mountain from window balcony is also awesome. Food is also excellent. All staff are very friendly and cooperatives. Tour package from hotel is also awesome.

Everything is ok but hotel room doesn't clean everyday and room service is very bad. Tv is working fine but subscribe only minimum pack where no hindi channel is available.

We had a very good stay in a very affordable price. The hotel location is also great. Big, spacious room and bathroom. Very big bed. Bedsheets could have been cleaner.

It was one of my best stay experiences recently. Location: The location is very near to Darjeeling railway station - about 300m. Mall road is about 1-2 km away, that should about 20 minutes on foot; besides, cab is available from railway station - costs around 300 INR to Mall road. I will give the location 8/9 out of 10. Rooms: I had booked Kanchenjunga View Suite. The room was spacious and had a wonderful mountain view. There was a decent sized balcony overlooking the mountain and the valley, with sitting arrangements. The room had a large screen TV unit with OTTs installed. The room decor was impressive as well with good lighting. The room had all required amenities such as heater, centralized ac, electric kettle, wadrobe, study table, attached bathroom - clean and spacious, etc. I will rate room 9 out of 10. Cleanliness: I was very impressed by the cleanliness and the housekeeping. The housekeeping staff takes great effort to keep the hotel clean, and that deserves a shout-out. I would rate 9.5 on cleanliness. Hospitality: Everyone at the hotel is so friendly and polite that it is a delight to interact with them. They never forget to greet a guest whenever they meet in the hallway or in the lobby. They are very professional and provide exemplary service. I would rate 10 out of 10 on hospitality. Food: The restaurant is called Grains and is a pure veg restaurant. It might be a disappointment for non-veg lovers, but after experiencing a 4-day stay, I would say I have no regret. It is rather a delight. The quality of the food, even though all veg, is excellent. It also has a decent choice of menu. The breakfast is delicious and has a very good spread. I liked the breakfast so much so that it was too an attraction for me. Even though it is pure veg, I still had a great dining experience. Every evening, there is a live performance event and a buffet dinner at the restaurant. I would rate food experience 8 out of 10. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and a customer's delight. I am eagerly looking forward to staying in this hotel when I visit Darjeeling again. I would rate the hotel 9 out of 10.
