Awesome stay at Casero Kolkham booking done through Mr Shantanu Paul and the warm receptive nature of Mr Haribahadur and his family who took care of everything during our stay. Locations and view are superb we were lucky on the final day to get the full view of Kanchanjunga as the sky was clear... If you are booking this homestay then go for the upper deck only as the view is awesome from small attic room which is available only on the upper deck. We got to stay day one on the upper deck and day 2 on the lower deck ( ground floor) .

They were constantly available to help with any inquiries or offer insightful information on the sights and things to do in the area. They provided delicious regional food with genuine flavors from the use of fresh products from local farmers. The Himalayan Retreat offers a range of activities for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. There are several options, such as taking guided treks ***** picturesque paths, visiting nearby monasteries and temples, or simply relaxing in the vast outdoors. One can spend hours admiring plants in their well decorated Patio and Plants nursery or spend time painting rocks at their Art Studio, buy souvenirs, play musical instruments, enjoy board games, access library, karaoke and even rent local dresses. The staff are very accommodating and warm, and location is perfect - it's a 10 min walk from the mall but is high enough to have a stunning outlook that places on the mall don't see. We actually had some medical issues during our stay here that prolonged our trip, and the team were so understanding and flexible, helping us keep our room on level 6 as long as possible (we recommend this room, best view!). Delicious breakfasts too
