Red Roof Inn Dalton

I recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel, and it was an experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. The carpets were stained and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. The furniture was outdated, and the entire room smelled musty. The bathroom was no better and appeared to have been brought from the 1960's. I only stopped to rest for the rest of my drive, however, I could not have stayed in this room. The whole place is non-smoking but I'm convinced It would have smelled better if people would have smoked in it. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. It’s not worth the money, and you’ll likely end up regretting your decision and not staying.

We stayed on our way north. This property is not taken care of. Shrubs haven't been trimmed prob this year. Grass growing thru the asphalt. The room smelled horrid. We went out and bought cleaners and cleaned floors, febereezed walls and air conditioner. wiped everything down. Would not recommend. This property is more expensive than any red roof we have stayed, and the worst.

The staff that checked me in was very friendly. The room was clean but still in rough shape. I wanted to check at 5 a.m., but no one was there. The doors were locked. I tried knocking in case the person was in the back office. After 10 minutes, I left a note under the door with my room key. I was not happy. I had to call the next day to get the receipt emailed to me. This hotel has some very shady things going on in the back of the hotel where the truckers park. Of course, that is where my room had to be located. There were 4-5 people parked by the big dumpster and hanging out with very loud music. They were hanging out like they were waiting for someone. I think the person above my room was a working girl. I was young once but the seriously loud noise and banging was a bit much from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. I heard so many truckers pulling in and parking for a while and then leaving. It was extremely difficult to get sleep for my long trip the next day. I don't recommend this hotel. If you do stay, make sure your room is in the front. Stay away from the back of the building.

We stopped to rest while heading to vacation in Cocoa Beach. The clerk at the front desk was wonderful, reminding me about a membership resulting in a discount. The room, however, was a little dated. I can say it was clean, which gave us confidence in another Red Roof Inn stay on the way back home (gotta read that one!) We felt for the money spent to stay a night, it should've been a bit nicer. I was told the pool was covered because they didn't want to spend the money on pool repairs.

We attempted to stay here with a group during a softball tourney. We booked ten rooms and many of them had cockroaches. As soon as I walked into my room, I found four! We immediately left! I’m not a hotel snob and have never left a hotel before, but there was no way I was staying in this filth!

The hotel was clean, the desk clerk was personable and efficient, the room was clean, the bed was coming and there was a nice area to walk my dog. I have stayed at this hotel before and will stay there again. I did not have there grab and go breakfast because I had leftovers from dinner. I did get my complimentary bottle of water and I was treated like a valued guest.

My wife and I were on our way home for the holidays. We had stopped at this hotel previously so thought try it again. Every employee we dealt with was friendly, helpful and professional. The bed was very comfortable, the mini fridge worked great and we had a good nights sleep. The breakfast is still only grab and go but not a deal breaker. Rooms were not filled with all new furniture but it worked fine for our needs.
