SpringHill Suites Dallas NW Highway at Stemmons/I-35E

I love this hotel. I love the staff. I love the amenities and it feels like home. This is a mustang when you’re in the Irving area.

Good hotel for last minute stay!

Used this hotel as it is close to a Holt Cat dealer and I’m an employee training for the week. It is in a very bad area as other reviewers described but it had a security guard and I was willing to take the risk. Was quoted 139.00 a day and I said that’s good I needed it for the week. Room was nice although the walls were thin and the ac unit sounded like an airplane trying to take off when the compressor kicked in. I did not complain about these things, I realize some things the front desk just can’t control. However when I checked out and asked for a copy of the bill I was shocked to see that the daily charges were 139, 179, 199, 199, and 139. I spoke with the guy at the front desk and he said he didn’t know why but would have the asst manager Jennifer call when she came in Went to class the whole day and got no call. Drove 4 hours home and called and she said Jennifer would be in at 11 pm and would call me in the morning. I called back at 6:30 before her shift ended and she said it was common practice to change the rates daily without people’s consent. I asked since my credit card was charged when I arrive was this not a contract to which she stated it was only a hold put on the card. She then stated I needed to talk to the manager Tim when he arrived back to work on Monday. This is not even my credit card that was charged it was the company’s but it’s about the principle now. The fact that I have to wait 4 days for something to be corrected that should have happened when brought to their attention the first time. There is a major disconnect between the auditors, managers, and customers. Will see how Tim handles this Monday before I write a review on Holts credit card statement that I have to submit, for all of holts company’s to see how Marriott treats its customers.

Good location with eating places nearby. Clean surroundings. Free Breakfast and Wifi. Relatively clean rooms. I just didn't like the extra taxes they charged me different than what I agreed to pay for. They did not adjust it for me. They have my credit card on-file yet did not charge me until I checked-in and overcharged me in the process.

Excellent value!!! Amazing staff that loves their job reflected by how they treat their customers. From check in to check out. Housekeeping, breakfast crew, front desk are always with a smile and offering assistance. The facility is clean, bathroom, gym, pool. The room is spacious and comfortable

Wonderful experience. The whole staff was very friendly and attentive. The general manager seemed to be working 24hrs/day yet he was still the friendliest person. Great rooms with modern design. A few suspicious women were wondering the streets near hotel but they mean no harm.

The location is very close to the LoveField Airport so this would be a big plus if travelling through this hub. The breakfast area is a bit crowd base on the table/chair layout but still manageable. The hotel does not have any food service out of breakfast time, and only option would be the market in the lobby with limited food selections. There is an iHop within walking distance, however the surrounding area does not seem safe after night, kind of feeling like a red-light district so not really suitable for walking to near by restaurant.

I don't think I have ever had such a wonderful greeting as I did at this hotel. Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the young man who greeted us, but he was a gem. He was so helpful. The room itself was just okay. The bathroom door scrapped on the bathroom floor, so it should have been shimmed when they installed it. The bathroom fan was noisy and ran constantly. It was easy enough to fix by shutting the bathroom door. Other than those two issues, the hotel was absolutely fine. It is clean and nice.

We had the misfortune of not being familiar with Dallas areas and having this hotel assigned to us by Priceline. The price was good, but you get what you pay for and in this case, you should just pay more and make sure you do not stay in this area of town, unless all you want is a bed and not much else bothers you. The hotel was recently renovated but was very basic. It was clean. We walked in to check in at night with a very friendly clerk and a policeman stationed in the lobby, sitting right near the front door to keep the ladies of the night and drunk randoms away. The scenes immediately outside the hotel late at night are not such that can be described here -- lets just say a few blocks away in a series of bar/strip club parking lots scenes were unfolding which we mostly associate with documentaries of a certain type. The hotel staff are very nice, work hard and the hotel is clean. Breakfast is a sad cold and unecessarily poor affair (ie, don't toast stale bagels and leave them out for customers), but not more than you expect of a two star hotel. Would we stay here again? Never. Should you consider it if you have to stay near this airport or in this area? Sure, over the other hotels in this area. If you have a strict budget and want a clean hotel, this is fine. But you can spend the same and be in a far better part of town.
