The hotel I stayed in this time was the best one this summer. The room was very standard. Although it was close to the street, it was very quiet and had central air conditioning, which was very cool. The most important thing was the bathroom, which was very spacious, and when the ventilation fan was turned on, it was very comfortable. There is no noise in the house, which does not affect your rest. This is very good. The design is reasonable, and the hotel room is clean and tidy. I feel like I have sent a treasure hotel, there are everything in the park, ice hockey court, badminton hall, table tennis hall, industrial exhibition hall, children's paradise playground, etc. And the hotel is conveniently located, very close to the airport, very convenient for passengers who catch the plane, the key is that there is free parking space, parking spaces are sufficient. I was fascinated by the incredibly high level of service at the hotel.
The hotel is clean, cleaning and towels are changed daily, bed linen was crumpled twice during the 6 days of stay. The staff is very attentive. The hotel director personally asked if everything was okay.
Breakfasts are very plentiful. There is both Chinese food and European food.
There was no coffee at first, but as soon as I asked for coffee on the first day, it was immediately prepared especially for me. All subsequent days, coffee was prepared immediately. as soon as I arrived for breakfast.
Very pleased with the service.
I was given a room on the 24th floor, quiet, far from other rooms. For non-smokers. There were no foreign odors. 15 minutes walk from the hotel to the bazaar. But, everything you need can be bought in a small shop right at the hotel.

Thanks to a warm reminder phone call from the front desk of the hotel, I was spared from the loss of the wrong time. After the modification of the reservation time, the hotel was very cost-effective, clean and comfortable. I had to catch the plane back and forth. It was very close to the airport. Don’t panic. I will stay here next time I come to Dalian.

This Hotel is very nice and located in the Center, close to the Railway station and many POI. The staff is friendly and tries to support the guests. The English language skills could be improved.
Unfortunately the Hotel and the rooms definitely need an extensive renovation. In our room several electric plug-sockets had been damaged, which is a severe danger. Also the control-units for the AC showed marks of overheating and damages.
The interior of the rooms and bathroom showed marks of abrasion and cheap repairs.
With this actions this Hotel could be one of the best in Dalian.

JJacob WayneThe hotel staff were so kind and friendly. They did not speak English but we're able to communicate using a translation APP. The brought extra water bottles to my room and asked about the room temperature. I ended up staying at my girlfriend's apartment instead of the hotel after the first night and they allowed me to cancel even though they didn't have to. I had ordered a jacket to be delivered to my room, which ended up arriving after I checked out. The hotel kept it for me and let me pick it up from there once delivered. The view from my room was awesome. The only negative was the walls were a little thin and I could hear the neighbors. I'd definitely stay here again.

1. The hotel is located right smack in the middle of action. There was a street food next door, with McD, Pizza Hut and KFC all within 05 mins of walking. There was a mall with a Walmart hypermarket at the underground level nearby. It is convenient for those who stayed more than a few nights and needed to provision for work in Dalian.
2. There is a university nearby, plus a hill overlooking the Dalian city which you can conveniently walk/jog up to in the morning/evening.
3, The room is sufficiently well spaced, the bed and pillows are comfy, the lights are decently illuminant, the shower water pressure strong and the temperature hot when you need it ; the room is well decorated, there is enough work space on the table, there is a fridge ; the basin, the toilet bowl, and the shower room are independent of each other. In other words, a well thought out room layout. The lighting control is well calibrated, the central air conditioning is quiet, there is a special pop-out plug points on the table for laptops and phone charging.
4. The breakfast is good, a bit of every kind, mainly Chinese dish but some Western oriented salad style vege/fruits for those who need it. Milk is available (not something to be taken for granted in China as milk is not commonly available)
5. There is a free laundry room for use, the detergent and softener are provided free-of-charge ; iron and iron board is available as well.
6. The hotel service is tightly run by its Manager who ensure the staff are always tending as soon as possible to the customers. A special thanks to reception staff 孙晓辉 for patiently helping out with China-specific app for about 30 mins.

Near to the beach but, unfortunately, the beach is a bit unimpressive and rundown.
The room was nice but a bit dusty. I am a little sensitive to dust so maybe that’s why this was an issue for me.
Also, the air quality was bad for most of my stay (weekend) so the balcony view was a little disappointing. No fault of the hotel but thought I would mention it. Keep the air quality in mind when booking.
Overall, decent stay.

The breakfast and dinner buffets were very tasty. Best breakfast buffet we’ve had in China so far! The only improvement would be the smell of the bedding in the room. It smelled just a bit dusty.

我我叫莎莎This is an honest review that is not meant to dissuade anyone but to offer a thorough unbiased review. My opinion of New World before my stay was that it was a 5 star hotel, it certainly wasn't horrible, but after my stay and comparing to other Dalian hotels in its league that I've stayed in, think it doesn't fit the bill for a 5 star hotel. I can't complain about the service, Check in was swift and we got a free room upgrade and spa coupons, but the hotel room carpet was stained, there was dust in some places and the furniture and room amenities are aging, slightly dated and need to be improved (I didn't feel the need to zoom in on those issues so the pictures wont reflect this) . I loved that there were lovely art pieces throughtout the hotel and the fitness centre was top notch especially the heated pool. The breakfast buffet had fewer options than expected for a hotel of that standard but it was honestly delicious and satisfactory, they had both Chinese and Western dishes, fruit and cereal. The waitresses from Guo restaurant had the best service they went out of their way to make our dinner pleasant. The most disconcerting issue I had with New World was that the room deposit refund took longer than I've ever experienced, I found it highly unusual and somewhat disappointing because I've stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels and usually the refund is instant but they told us it would take up to 3 days. Maybe this is standard practice for them but it made no sense to me and I've never had to wait that long. In any case surely it doesn't take 3 days to check a room!

KKeithWe stayed at this excellent hotel for three nights during our first visit to Dalian in May. The room was very clean and had some very useful amenities such as a refrigerator, clothes washer and a bidet toilet. It was very convenient to wash our clothes and save money.
The staff was very helpful and kind. Mr. Chen helped me find an excellent Thai massage spa (Tai Baba) nearby and helped us get taxis. We are especially grateful to the manager Mr. Leon. He left his busy post at the front desk and walked with me several blocks to get medicine for my wife who was briefly ill.
We opted for the Chinese breakfast all three days and it was very good. However, the western food selection was limited. That was not a problem for us because the Chinese food was delicious. We are from the USA.
Mr. Leon recommended an excellent Japanese restaurant (Konoha or Jiuye) with a huge menu selection in the same building. We ate there twice and there was a waitress who spoke fluent Japanese. There are many Japanese restaurants in close walking distance to the hotel. Also, the hotel is located near a shopping mall with a huge food court on the top floor. We recommend Chinese and foreigners to stay at the Shan Shui S Hotel when visiting Dalian. It made our trip to the beautiful, friendly city of Dalian memorable.

GGuest UserThe location is easy to find, right next to Xinghai Square. You can go to the park and see the sea when you go out. The guy at the front desk is very enthusiastic and professional. The house is very quiet, with good sound insulation, and the cleaning is quite timely. When I came back from breakfast, I found that it had been cleaned for us. Although the breakfast buffet does not have many styles, the quality is excellent. I will come again next time
