"The hotel is fine, the staff and service were good for an old building it was clean and had hot water and working Internet while the food was good too. The issue is the location, which seems convenient, but it is a LOUD area and the noise all gets into the room all day and night making sleep problematic even if you use earplugs and headphones. So just be aware it’s an old building with no insulation and loud, but if you can handle that it’s not a bad hotel overall."

"The best part of my stay was the hospitality. I had requested a taxi pick-up in advance, and the communication via WhatsApp was precise, ensuring I arrived safely at the hotel. I was prepared to wait since it was quite early, around 7:30 AM, but they allowed me to check in. This meant I could shower and recover from my exhausting journey (an 8-hour flight followed by 6 hours in Lima with no sleep). The next day, because my Machu Picchu train was scheduled for 3:30 PM, I needed to check out late. They even packed breakfast to-go for me, just as I had asked (I had requested boiled eggs and avocado, though I didn't expect it). This level of kindness is something I've never experienced in the US. I also appreciated that boiled water was always available in the lobby. The location was great for walking into town, but I didn't give it a perfect score for a couple of reasons: first, it's on a street inaccessible to cars, so those with a lot of luggage might need to consider this, as you have to walk from where the car drops you off. More importantly, it was incredibly noisy all night long, making it nearly impossible for a light sleeper like me to get any rest."
