It is a hugh shame that this hotel is in a good location and has such beautiful views of the ocean but is so rundown. Our room was spacious but not very clean - the carpets need to be deep-cleaned or better yet, replaced, and there was something black at the top of one of the walls that we couldn't distinguish if it was a dead bug or mold as we didn't want to get too close. Trash on the floors in the entrance lobby and hallways took a very long time to be picked up. Some of the staff at check-in and in the restaurant were not very welcoming or happy. I would advise everyone to stay elsewhere in Crescent City.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience. We booked two rooms and were horrified by the conditions. Both rooms had ants, black mold in the bathroom, a sagging bed with wood blocks propping it up, a disgusting microwave, cracked tiles, and even a rip in the sofa with stuffing coming out. One room was on the second floor, and the noise from the lobby was unbearable. To top it off, a fog horn blasted all night, and the pool was closed. Management was unhelpful and uninterested in addressing any of the issues. The view may be great, but that’s the only redeeming factor. I highly recommend staying elsewhere – we will never return.

Will never stay here again. View is great but that’s where it stops. Rooms are not cleaned very well. Lights in bathroom not working. Floors were dirty and broken. TV’s very hard to manage…staff couldn’t get it to work. Customer service was terrible…stayed 2 different nights…different rooms same issues

I would give 0 stars, if that was possible. The place was filthy - common spaces and the rooms, the windows were so dirty you could not see out of them, the plexiglass on the balcony was so filthy you couldn't view the ocean for the "ocean view". The elevator was broken. Our "ocean view" was only partial, most of what we looked at was a parking lot and they would not change our room, even though they acknowledged there were full on ocean front view rooms available - stating because one of us used the bathroom, which I don't think was even cleaned before our arrival. Staff was a bit off and also rude. The internet access was spotty, we could not watch TV as the internet kept cutting out. I asked the front desk about this and they told me to try a different account name with more bars.....ludicrous, and it didn't work. Almost $400/night. Would recommend you avoid this at all costs.

I wish I could give it a negative rating. I booked an ocean view room with a balcony. Well, if you stood on the balcony you could see the ocean but don't try sitting on the balcony or look through the windows as they are filthy. There were 12 different internet options and none worked. The front desk person said, just choose the one with the most bars--HA!! The TV worked intermittently as it was also connected the missing internet. The elevator was broken and when we asked if someone could carry our suitcase up the stairs they just walked away. The ice machine was disgusting. Neither of us slept thinking there were probably bed bugs. I have NEVER written a review like but I don't feel good not letting others know what they are getting into.

We paid Hilton prices for a worn out, dirty hotel with bad service. We got the ocean view “suite” which was a larger room with a futon. It had a nice view, but that’s the only good thing I can say. Our room was filthy when we arrived—loose pretzels and sand in the drawers and a half-drunk Pepsi in the cabinet. Floors so dirty it left our feet black. Asked for bedding for the spare bed—told they couldn’t understand my accent (I am a native English-speaking Canadian). Got a pillow with no case and a disguising blanket with holes in it. Bathroom light died the first night we were there; had to put the desk lamp in the bathroom to brush our teeth, which shorted out the plug. Toilet seat loose and slid off when we sat in it. Sign in the bathroom warning you not to steal, or if you stain a towel it’s a $10 charge… funny, because the ripped towels aren’t worth a dime. Curtains were bright red, no blackout, so at 5:30 am the room was filled with bright orange light; who needs an alarm when you can wake up inside a glowing oven? Next morning we asked for a room deep clean and a new bulb in the bathroom. That night returned home late and exhausted after a long day of hiking to find our keys deactivated. Nobody at the desk. Finally got into our room… nobody cleaned it at all. Nobody replaced the bulb. Complained the next morning. No apology. No attempt to make amends. Called the manager the next day to complain, answered rudely and told “call me back in 5 I’m dealing with another guest.” He has my number. Still waiting for a call back. This place is staffed with people who have zero customer service training and give zero sh*ts. Stay in any of the motels in town; they’re palaces compared to this gem. In fact, try the campgrounds. I bet they’re cleaner.

Absolutely terrible. While the location is amazing, the hotel itself is a nightmare. There was trashed piled up in the hallways, the front desk staff were incredibly rude, and we were charged twice for the same stay. The food in the restaurant is subpar and incredibly overpriced. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Hotel was a bit old and dated. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Deck overlooking the bay was a nice feature. The entire visit we did not have televsion as the intermet was intermittant in the entire hotel. We had 2 rooms and neither of them was able get a connection for more than 10 minutes and would get the message on the screen that there was no internet connection. The pool was good but the hot tub was not working.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Please read the Yelp reviews before staying here. I genuinely don’t understand how they could have any score above a 1 on Google. Charged our group $900 for two rooms one night. Absolutely filthy. Hairs on the sheets, blood on the sheet, and stains on the couch on both rooms. We had originally asked for a change of sheets and the front desk said they could provide some but we have to change them. “Oceanfront view” is funny since the patio glass is covered in dirt and grime, you can’t see much. Manager (Nicky) proceeded to argue and disrespect my family when confronted about the condition of the room. That guy needs to either be fired or go through some intensive customer service training. We checked in and out in under 30 minutes and they refused to provide us a refund. Check out their score on Better Business Bureau…. “F” and well deserved.
