Everything you’d want from a B&B…. Richard are Anna who run the place are lovely, the house is stunning and it was immaculate too. My room was cosy and the bed incredibly comfortable. I can’t fault this place and like it so much that I’m going back with my parter on the weekend!

Fabulous views, friendly staff, we were made to feel very welcome, the room was spacious and comfortable. The afternoon tea and the breakfast were exceptional. The owners went out of their way to be helpful, especially when we failed to book taxis well in advance to take us to and from the wedding venue we were going to. That is something to be aware of, taxis at a weekend get booked weeks in advance. Safe to say this is a place we would be happy to stay at again.

My husband and I came for 2 nights as part of our joint birthday celebrations, and we felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. Tea with home made cake and scones on arrival in the drawing room set the tone, our room was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and had stunning views over the Kent countryside. Anna and Richard were very attentive hosts, and gave lots of time to chat with us and other guests, including making useful recommendations of local places to eat and visit during our stay. We especially enjoyed the evening suppers and delicious cooked breakfasts. We will definitely be back again soon.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at sissinghurst castle farmhouse, exploring the beautiful gardens and surrounding countryside. Richard and Anna were fantastic hosts, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived and giving us superb recommendations of nearby restaurants and places to go, even offering a taxi service if we needed. The breakfast was also exceptional. It’s such a special corner of the world, we can’t wait to come back soon!

Travelling from Australia my first impression when I arrived was of an idyllic English country house. I was greeted by Anna, a warm and welcoming host, who was on hand throughout my stay to make sure I had everything I needed. The accommodation was very comfortable and homely with beautiful antique furnishings that complimented the era of the house. All meals provided including breakfast and dinner (by arrangement) were fresh, hearty and very generous. The property is well located to explore a number of local gardens and I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The couple in charge of the B&B were incredibly rude and arrogant. They would have been very pleased if we paid them and then left without staying. We were expected to know their exact location and hung up on us when we called for directions. We were lost because there were three different locations for their B&B on google maps and apple maps. Since we were lost we were late and we scolded and reprimanded for such a terrible failing on our part. In addition, this B&B has a problem with hornets. That night, there was a hornet in our room and in the main hall. We called the staff but they refused to answer. They really should deal with this problem as a sting from a hornet can be fatal.

This is an exceptional B&B. Stayed here for a few nights as a birthday treat. Set within the same grounds as the wonderful Sissinghurst Castle, former home of poet, novelist and keen gardener, Vita Sackville- West It is welcoming, friendly and relaxing. The room was lovely with glorious views of the garden and fields beyond. Breakfast was a treat and set us up nicely for our days of exploring. We enjoyed our daily chill on the terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside while partaking of the late afternoon tea and homemade cakes. A well-stocked bar is available for that early evening pre-dinner tipple. Plenty of good restaurants nearby for evening dinners. Visited old town Hastings, Rye as well as the Castle Gardens themselves, during our stay. There are so many castles in the area; visited Bodiam Castle by steam train caught in nearby Tenterden, another lovely town, whose wide tree-lined high street is very reminiscent of those found in the South of France. I would highly recommend and intend to revisit.

Sissinghurst Castle Farmhouse is beautifully restored with the addition of modern amenities. Anna and Richard are gracious hosts and go out of their way to make sure every detail is taken care of. Breakfast is made to order from a menu of fresh local ingredients and Anna makes professional quality cakes for tea. Because it is in the English countryside - I would recommend renting a car to make going out to restaurants and other sites in the area more convenient. Sissinghurst Castle and gardens are within easy walking distance and absolutely worth visiting - so inspiring!
