Hovima Santa María

We had a superior 2 bedroom Apartment which was lovely and had loads of space for my family of 4 but the food was a massive problem for me. I'm vegetarian and used to not getting as many options as meat eaters but I thought it was shocking how little dishes they had! I went to Tenerife for lovely Spanish cuisines but ended up having to eat either bland pizza, pasta or chips. I think that you could work on this alot by adding just a few dishes that are suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Great stay just thought the beer and red wine was not up to scratch. On the whole it was a very good stay.Hotel was spotless hotel staff very accommodating when we went to the desk with a few problems with our room. We will be booking again next year.

Friendly staff. Was upgraded to an apartment on the second floor.. we had breakfast each morning which was a great start to the day. Loved the area as it was close to everything!!rooms were cleaned everyday except sat and Tue and we were told that on check in. Up a hill if you have mobility issues but there’s a taxi rank at the bottom of the hill

Second time staying at this hotel it was as nice as previous one and most definitely will not be my last. Had a baby this visit so very pleased with room choice and the lovely cot provided. Chocolates and wine was a lovely touch. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of variety. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Lovely Christmas decorations all around the hotel.

On arrival, the hotel looked lovely and modern, check in was quick and straight forward. The rooms are a little bit dated and not all of them have air conditioning, which is a must (One of the reasons I will not be returning). My room was over looking the entrance to the Irish bar, I was not too fussed about the noise but some might be. Then we come to the pool area, which was nice, however it seems like your not allowed to enjoy it. There is one lifeguard that is horrible to the kids and kept moaning at them for no reason, would not even let them have a float to play with in the pool. I spoke to one lady who had to get the manger to speak to him to tell him to stop being so horrible to the kids. I was booked on bed and breakfast and decided one night to have dinner in the restaurant which was over priced at 20 euros. The staff were acting like prison guards when it came to getting drinks and the food was not even worth it. There was a lady named Claire who was in charge of keeping us entertained, she was lovely and attentive. The town itself is really lovely and I cant wait to return. I will be choosing another accommodation next that is more welcoming of families and children.
