Labranda Bahía de Lobos

Returned recently from another great break in this lovely hotel. It gets better each time I visit. There was never any problem getting sunbeds at either pools. Really enjoyed the food and tried the A La Carte which was excellent. Also enjoyed the theme nights in the restaurant and the Friday night barbecue. Loved the new snack bar in the restaurant - a great addition rather than previously at the pool bar. As always the staff were amazing. A special thanks to Nadia who is always so professional and helpful. Mouhcine and Alexander are so friendly and helpful at reception. Anna is absolutely amazing at the poolside bar. Rawhide always had a smile on his face in the restaurant and Faros bar. He is very friendly and a hard worker. Cannot wait to return next year.

The plug sockets needed fixing and 4 times we reported it but nothing was done about it, cleaning staff or lack of them couldn’t keep up and trying to find plates and cups became a big issue especially at breakfast and lunch, range of food very limited

Upon arrival staff were very friendly and helpful. Room with a pool view was great and had air conditioning. Food was good with great choices. The only absolute downfall for us as a family was people put towels on sunbeds from literally 6am only leaving the odd sunbed available and having children this was a disappointment for them so ended up down beach most days. I do think this is a big let down and should not be allowed would only return again if this wasn’t happening .

Wasn't sure what to expect having read varied reviews. On arrival we were greeted at reception by a lovely young man. He gave detailed information about the hotel, mealtimes and how to get to our room. All staff work constantly throughout the day and evening keeping the place spotless. The grounds and pool area are kept clean and tidy. The breakfast and lunch dining area is bright airy and well laid out. Food is plentiful and fresh, dependent on what time you eat food was at times lukewarm but there is a microwave to use if needed. Smoothies and fruit at breakfast along with the ginger shots were lovely. Snack bar with nachos burgers and hot dogs as well as sandwiches were available after lunch. Pool bar staff amazing always smiling and happy, nice chill out zone around the bar as well as seating in front. Evening meal in lower floor restaurant again plentiful fresh food and happy staff not as bright and airy as upper floor dining . Bar staff, restaurant, reception and cleaners always polite and friendly. Animation work their butt's off, trying yo keep guests entertained and included, enjoyed the club dances signalling the end of the sessions. Visiting entertainment in the evenings wasn't bad either. Overall the place is well situated to shops bars and eateries, the pleasant staff work hard to keep guests happy. Any concerns reported were dealt with swiftly without issue. We liked it that much we booked again for next year before leaving. Keep up the good work

We booked a very last minute holiday in what we thought would be a 4* holiday but sadly this hotel didn’t reach the mark. Our room was clean and well equipped although the bathroom was poorly decorated and the bendy shower tray spilled water over the floor. Beds were hard. We were advised we could contact reception by dialling 9 on house phone, but we didn’t have one and never did get one despite asking. We stayed half board, breakfast was ok, usual self service choice. One morning I slid on a piece of food on the floor, it was still there as we left. Evening meal was always an adventure. Soup that was so thick the spoon stood up in it. Fresh salmon that was lovely, but sadly being hacked by the server which spoiled the presentation. Same comment with duckling and roast pork. Canarian potatoes were rock hard and spinach that was so chewy it was like eating chewing gum, and of course everything was cold. There was, however, always a good selection of salad and sweets. On bbq night we were chased by a waiter accusing us of non payment for wine. We only ever ordered water, for which we duly paid our two euros. No apologies for embarrassing us. The pool areas were very nice, but the towel brigade were out early. We noticed some beds were unoccupied until after 3pm. General decoration was ok, although doors all looked like there were lacking final coat . The ladies loo doors in reception were pretty battered you could see yellow paint under the scratches. There were several uk tv chanels available, but WiFi was very weak to non existent . We didn’t use the bars so cannot comment. The hotel is nicely located for local shopping and only a short walk away from the beach. All staff seemed to work hard and were, on the whole, a friendly bunch. This is not a bad hotel but doesn’t match up to other 4 star hotels we have stayed in, or even some 3 star in some areas.

Me and my partner came here last year and enjoyed it that much we brought our family back with us this year. What a mistake that was. Unless you are French they don't want to no they instantly talk French to you. They had a French animation team which only the French could join in their activities but the the other animation invited everybody. One of the French animation team goes by the name of LEONIE was heard saying I HATE THE ENGLISH. Had no issues with the food and drink Evening entertainment wasn't the worse I seen I will not return to the hotel due to how your treated if your not french.
