07 Aloe Club, honest review. We've just returned home from 9 days here. Family of 4 adults. We had two apartments next door to each other overlooking the children's play area on the 1st floor. We had no issues with anything tbh. Our rooms were big and clean. The bathrooms are dated but clean and spacious. The food was of a good quality, not the biggest choice for hot food but it was all tasty and replenished all the time. I would say a lack of potato choice but the chips were some of the nicest I've ever had. My favourites were the sweet and sour chicken, the roast pork with crackling, the meat balls and the fish curry. I'm not a big dessert eater but the choice could have been better. Iced cake, shortbread, chocolate chip cookies, sponge puddings I'm sure would have been popular. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice for everyone. I will say though, people are greedy, take plates full and end up wasting it and I don't agreed with children getting beer from the self serve pump. The staff are all lovely and work very hard. The bar on an evening could be better when very busy. Drinks were adequate for our family. The entertainment was ok, we liked the African men and Aretha the singer was fantastic. We much preferred to sit by the small pool during the day and found it chilled and relaxing, however the last couple of days it got a bit louder and some people have no respect and walk away from sun beds leaving rubbish, cups with drinks in and bath towels on the floor which gives the impression of an unclean look but this is down to the customers and not the hotel. We didn't use WiFi. The hotel is far out, which we did know about as we always do our research before we book anything, we are 4 capable adults so walking and getting about was not an issue for us. The supermarket is 10 minutes walk. Water is available from the restaurant so it is great to fill empty bottles to take back to the room. We paid £3400 for 4 adults 2 rooms, flying from Manchester for 9 nights, this included upgrading to apartments and it was the school October half term. Would I return? Yes but it's not somewhere I would keep going to as there are plenty of other lovely places to try.
