We arrived during evening after a longish drive from Malaga Airport. We were offered one of their "best" rooms, which was basically a barebones space with no wall hangings or amenities, with toilet and shower in the same room, separated from the bed area by a transparent plate of glass. I have stayed in much nicer hospital rooms. Well, that was enough for us. I cancelled immediately, but it was too late to move hotels. ******* immediately emailed me to say we had to pay for one night, not the 3 that we booked and paid for at check-in. No matter to the hotel owner. He said that the "policy" was no refunds, ever. So, we endured one night in this place. What else to report? There were only 2 rooms for normal occupancy. The others, down a separate corridor which reeked of urine, were effectively for 4-6 people per room in bunk beds. All of the guests, apart from us, were student backpackers. As for breakfast, there was a common, delapidated kitchen. Some girl came in at 9:00 to make a pot of coffee. She brought with her some rolls, cheese and ham from a supermarket. That costs extra. As does the parking lot down the street. We moved to a 4 star hotel right next to the main mosque. That cost us, all told, perhaps €25 more per night. As for Puerta de la Luna, they should be delisted from OTAs such as *******. The place should be put out of business.
