Motel 6 Cordele, GA

I stopped there Tuesday Aug. 29, 2023 about 10:30pm. I left home, the Orlando area around 6pm, after working all day. I was trying to beat tropical storm/hurricane, Idalia. That was crossing Florida. I was on my way to Atlanta for a convention, DragonCon. I could have picked from numerous places. I decided to stop here. At 10:30 at night I wasn't looking for anything but a shower and a bed. I also knew it wouldn't be too expensive. Check in. I walked into the office 2 people were sitting there. Asked, if I could get a room. 1 got up and went behind the desk. Asked me, how many. I told him, just myself. He kinda acted like he didn't believe me. Told him again, it was just myself. Gave him my license and a credit card to pay. He gave me a pad to sign. Then a room key. Asked him where I need to park. He walk to the door, held out his hand and pointed it to the spots. On my out he stopped me. He pulled a bag from a closet. It had towels and soap. I was on the second floor. I opened the door. I was extremely surprised at how big the room was. It's bigger than the room I have at the convention. It was also $250 cheaper. Had a chair near the door. I used it for my bag. A good size desk against the wall, passed the chair. Large open area that extends to the far wall(may have been used, at one time with a table and chairs, a dining area). That's on the right walking in. The other side; it has the old, standard wall air conditioner under the window. Another good size open area, an end table, then a king size bed, another end table and another smaller open area to the far wall. Where there was an opening. Right went into the bathroom. Left went into an open closet. Again, this was a big room. With all that said about the room. It was not in the best condition. The flooring was old and wore out, there were screw holes everywhere in the walls, The closet area has seen better days. The toilet had the wrong cover(it didn't fit correctly, it was too big). The shower rod had been pulled out of the wall on one end. It did have a nice tv. I turned it on for like 5 minutes. I found no problem with the bed. It was comfortable. The bedding appeared to be clean. I didn't have any problem(or unwanted guests) afterwards. It served it's purpose. I was up and out about 8:40am. The office doesn't open until 9:30am. So if you need service. They have a doorbell. I didn't need any. So I just left. It was perfectly fine for what I needed. For the most part, it's what I expected. Nothing fancy.............

I stayed in room 103. The room was renovated with walk in shower. Loved it best $49 spent

good for price, nothing fancy
