Castle Farm House B&B

What a splendid bed and breakfast. Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds with crisp white bedding, nice and peaceful, plenty of delicious options for breakfast. Clare Is a helpful and welcoming but obtrusive host. Perfect in every respect.

We booked a room here through a third party agency but their website showed a different room to the one that was reserved for us but Claire very efficiently amended our booking to the room of our choice. We stayed in the spacious first floor Castle Room which is very tastefully furnished with antique furniture, a lovely sofa in the bay window with superb garden view and a most comfortable bed that can be made up as a twin or king-size. The en-suite bathroom with its free standing roll top bath and separate shower stall was bigger than some rooms we have stayed in! Claire’s Full English Breakfasts were very tasty. We can honestly say that Castle Farm House B & B in Rockingham is by far and away the best B & B that we have stayed in for many years.

Booked for one night as it was convenient for where we needed to be the next morning. It's a large old farmhouse in a beautifuyl, tiny village. We had to change our arrival and get there earlier than expected. Claire was very accommodating, explaining how we could get in and make ourselves at home. Yes, it's an old building, but it's full of charm from the family photos to the old beams and well chosen pictures. The excellent breakfast was cooked to order - i.e. we could chose what we wanted and it came with a selection of home-made jams and marmalade. Quiet and comfortable with a small yard to park off the road. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location, lovely room, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and fantastic showers, ample parking, delicious breakfasts and a really nice host. Lots of really great gastro pubs only a short drive away. Stamford is a half-hour drive away and really worth a look.

This was my third stay in recent months. Claire is the perfect hostess. The rooms are very well furnished and comfortable. A good night’s sleep is assured. The building is brilliant, ancient and well maintained. It would be a fine base from which to visit the surrounding country.

I could not fault Claire's friendliness, her cooking or the room. The place is beautiful and full of interesting things. The welcome was warm, the bed was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was to die for. Thank you, I will be back.

Stayed in the castle room very nice room lovely big bathroom with roll top bath and shower a comfortable bed wry quiet lovely garden views Claire was a great hostess nothing was to much Bother the cooked breakfast was great as my Husband Brian had one each morning there was choice of cereals fruits toast I had poached egg but if you asked Claire she would say anything you want you can have felt very at home would stay again and recommend Castle Farm House to family and friends Great little gem 💎

Warning. Booked through Trip Advisor but had a phonecard from Claire who asked us to Cancel our Trip Advisor booking and rebook directly so no commission paid to Trip Advisor. Not happy with this fraudulent request and would not take part in such a action. I know there are glowing reviews but that request to fraudulently Rob Trip Advisor was a request I would feel unable to follow. The booking would not be made without Trip Advisor so they should get there well earned percentage . Expected so much from the reviews on Trip Advisor but sadly disappointed. Old and Quaint should not mean Old and untidy with badly stained carpets or views of **** filled gardens. Will not return to this unkempt establishment that expects people to fraudulently cancel booking through Trip Advisor so they get the full amount. Shame on You

We have just stayed for 3 nights for a break...we stayed in the Castle Room, which is a suite with large bathroom...it was a lovely room and lovely place to stay...the owner Claire is a charming lady, very helpful and friendly....breakfast was really good...beautiful village and surrounding area...Thanks Claire and husband Kim...I would highly recommend
