I wish I could have given this place a negative 1 instead of a one. We had to travel for a memorial service last minute and decided to finally try a Studio 6 (formally known as a Motel 6). Obviously we never expected the hotel to be high end in any way shape or form, but given the $345 for the short 2 night stay which was within 20-30 dollars of that of a nearby Hilton or Marriott, we had to figure that at least what they advertised would be truthful and similar to this properties, right? The disastrous journey starts out with waiting to check in and having an old couple ahead of me arguing with the check in desk clerk. Then after 20 minutes of this and hearing dogs barking and people yelling outside (and mind you, Coral Springs, FL is a nice area), I finally get my turn to be told that there is no queen bed available (despite having called earlier in advance to confirm that my room would not be given away despite the late check-in). The clerk tells us that she has upgraded us to a room with two double-beds. I argued, that was not an upgrade especially considering that there weee only two of us. No elevator (ok) , we shlep up with our luggage. And enter into what was a room of horrors. If it hadnt been so late and could have found a better place to stay or if we were not limiting our time into this room for just sleeping, we would have left right then and there. The first thing we noticed was that there were no usable hangers. I called downstairs to advise them of this. It took me three calls before someone even answered and then had to call 2 more times. Finally someone came up . Just to tell us that they had no hangers. My sweetheart had to take the pant clips on one of the hangers just to hold the top of another in place. Oh and the emergency information cards required inside of each room and usually found on the inside door was instead stuffed together and atop a closet shirt ( a violation at the very least) But that was just the beginning. First The “kitchenette”: it had a coffee pot that hadn’t been cleaned in many visits and the inside of the microwave was completely brown and burned. Now the bathroom: The toilet seat in the bathroom was not only broken, but there was back hair that was matted down with what was apparently dried out urine between the seat and the tank. The bathroom didn’t even have anything more than one plastic wrapped soap bar measuring 1/2 inch by 2 inches. No shampoo. No conditioner anywhere. The paper core of the toilet paper was the only thing hanging ( though fortunately we found a replacement roll - that must have been a perk for the over 300 dollars I had to pay). But wait there’s more: The bathtub shower walls had hair everywhere. There was no way we were going to take a shower in that tub, but it didn’t matter because the room had NO HOT WATER. I let the water run for 10 minutes, and it never came out even warm. The bathroom was so disgusting that we not only didn’t bathe, but I wouldn’t even
