Hotels Near Museum of Copenhagen in Copenhagen

It’s first visit to Copenhagen for my husband and I, I booked standard room with water view for the night before cruise holiday, were very happy with the whole experience. The room was spacious with two large and comfortable beds. All stuff were approachable, friendly and professional. The breakfast selection was excellent, fresh and tasty. We had burgers for lunch which was really yummy. Furnitures were slightly dated but all in good condition and clean.

We booked a room through Hotwire.com and were very pleased to find that we got the Mayfair Hotel in Copenhagen as it is very conveniently located in the Vesterbro area. We only booked for one night on the way to Schweden. The Hotel is very nice and big, but now here is the not so good bit. We booked the third an most expensive a twin room and we got a broom cupboard as a room. It had a 150cm wide bed, but you could only get in from one side. The bathroom was also beyond his heydays. If they want give you room 1044 decline it. With two people in it you could barely turn without hitting each other. Needless to say we were not happy with the room and went to complain. The manager was very apologetic and got our points. He offered us an upgrade to a bigger room, which had a nice king size bed. He wanted another DKK 260.00 for the night. In the end we got it cheaper, because we wanted a better room an were tired. In fact I would have expected a free upgrade but that did not happen. From a business point I would hire that manager, because he was very good at upselling. Just of this review, give room 1044 a wide birth

We arrived into Copenhagen Airport and found the train to the Centre. Need to just make sure you’re on the right platform and going in the right direction. The hotel is a very short walk and we were not disappointed. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was lovely and the breakfasts were also very nice. The only thing I would say is if you’re looking for quiet on a Saturday night stay elsewhere or shut your windows. Not a big deal for us but just a heads up. It’s very well placed for everything.

Scandic Copenhagen is certainly at the top of the quality you can expect from a hotel. If you are looking for details/nice-to-have: The reception could have been a little more engaged when we had questions. Minibar/fridge in the room would be nice. Poor options for connecting your own media to the TV. Missed the standard fried egg at breakfast. This is details which a lot of hotels don't have, so we didn't expect it. Cleaning must be ordered at reception, which I think is a nice solution - but I would prefered a more digital solution. If we had stayed longer, I would be nice to ”order” towels or laundry/pick up in the hallway.

The best thing is its location. The hotel is a mere 5-7 min walking distance from Copenhagen Central Station, and there is a grocery store beside the property which makes it super convenient. The service in the hotel is as expected. Do note that they do not do daily housekeeping, which is fine but it could have been a little more frequent for longer-staying guests. The beds were super comfortable, but their tap water was extremely cold for some reason. The breakfast options are good enough but the variety is the same every day, which is dependable but can get boring if you're staying longer. Overall, my husband and I enjoyed our stay. It was located just nicely where it wasn't too pricey and not too far from the trains/metro.

We were first drawn to this new hotel in the center of Copenhagen from internet research. Impeccably presented with beautiful interior design, this relatively new 5 star property is located on the water and well positioned to allow for exploration of the city. Suited to tourists as well as business guests the hotel offers well appointed rooms, comfortable beds, excellent towels & robes and attentive service in all departments. Please note, if outlooks and positioning within the hotel are of importance to you I would highly suggest contacting the hotel to get advise on room selection. We booked a Premium category room but made a poor selection based on the limited explanations on the hotel website and ended up on the ground floor facing an office building with parked vans, workers taking smoking breaks and a complete lack of privacy. The premium room category provides ample space with 53M squared but the descriptor does not state this room is a low floor room without a view. You need to book the room 'with a view'. I honestly don't recall that being offered from the list of available rooms when I booked so its quite possible the 'view' category had sold out. In any case, only certain rooms will offer views of the river so it is best to coordinate with the hotel if you have any questions. We stayed one night in our original room but the situation was not ideal - a combination of our poor selection and lack of detailed info on the hotel website. Mehmet Ali, one of the managers was most accommodating and assisted in moving us for our 2nd and 3rd nights to a room offering a spectacular view. We are very grateful for the kind and generous upgrade as this certainly was not our focus in trying to change our accommodations. Mr. Ali is dedicated in his role and wanted to ensure we had a good experience at the NH Collection Copenhagen. He personally saw to it that we were comfortable and indeed we were. Breakfast at the hotel is what one would expect from a fine hotel and the content of the buffet and overall service was a great way to start the day. We did not use the fitness facility but did enjoy the hotel bar where cocktails are professionally mixed and served by a friendly and competent team. We would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again for future visits to Copenhagen.

When I went to Copenhagen on a business trip, the hotel my company helped arrange was a hotel co-branded with the amusement park of the same name. Although it was a bit far from the amusement park, the overall service, software and hardware were great! You can have your own choice of omelets or omelets for breakfast. If you stay on the executive floor, you will get free afternoon tea and happy hour, which is definitely worth the price ^_^

Hotel was great, nothing was to much trouble. From the moment we checked in till we checked out the service was outstanding. Loved breakfast, widerangeof foods for all.

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in late May 2024. You get the “new” feeling for everything given it is indeed just a few months in operation. The hotel is located in a very quiet and safe residential area by the port. During the day, you can expect “some work” going on around the vicinity but it is fine in my opinion. The room is considered self sufficient (no mini fridge, no bedroom slippers, no phone with just a few hangers). It is of a reasonable size for one, max two persons. Bed and pillows are comfy. The breakfast offered is unlike the usual massive buffet range but is considered very decent and healthy. Question is how much can one consume over breakfast. Several cosy eateries and supermarkets are located within walking distance. You can also chill or catch some good sun by the boardwalk nearby where people swim and yoga inside the little hut. If you wish to save some money, you should take the train from the airport and walk around 10-15mins to the hotel. Otherwise, taxi from the airport to the hotel vice versa can set you back by DKK500/- just for your guide. Rental of bicycles are available at DKK150/- per day at the hotel (new bikes). Traveling to the city, one-way transport by either bus or metro would cost around DKK24/-. Lastly, you can expect to be greeted by extremely courteous, friendly and helpful hotel staffs. We were ending a cruise in Copenhagen and wanted to spend several days in the city. Being an IHG rewards member the Towers were our option! It is good to see great reviews for a hotel when making a booking and I have to add to the positive reviews! We had booked our room so we could get in the morning our cruise arrived. We had just walked in when alarms went off, say there was an emergency and to exit the building! What a welcome. It was over quickly (we were told it was some baking product burned in the kit). They sent us to enjoy the breakfast buffet while waiting for things to settle down! That was our first of four great breakfasts! The breakfast buffet was a great mix - we loved the pancakes, eggs, and bacon. They beat the same items on the cruise! We liked the safety feature that you had to have a key to go up on the elevator. The room was large and well equipped. Great bathroom. Nice that you can quickly walk to the metro or train station. Since it is a fairly isolated location it was nice to have The Bark.
