Villa Copenhagen

Villa Copenhagen ★★★★★

📍 Tietgensgade 35, 39, Vesterbro/Kongens Enghave, Copenhagen

"The hotel is in a great location, right outside Copenhagen Central Station. The lobby is large, perfect for sunbathing and resting. I checked in on my birthday, and the hotel upgraded my room and gave me a birthday gift, which is very thoughtful for the customer experience. The room is not big, as most Nordic countries have small rooms, but it is clean and hygienic. There is not much meat in the breakfast, but the fruit and bread are good and filling."

Copenhagen Downtown Hostel
8.1 (162 reviews)

Copenhagen Downtown Hostel ★★

📍 Vandkunsten 5, Indre By, Copenhagen

"Copenhagen Downtown Hostel – Capsule Stay Review This was my first time staying in a capsule hotel in Copenhagen (£80 per night), after hearing positive feedback from friends who had travelled here. I decided to try the quiet zone option with a comfortable capsule located near the hostel facilities. Pros: • Excellent location in the heart of the city, with restaurants, bars, and cafés within walking distance. • Easy access to all main attractions. • The capsule area was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, I left with mixed feelings. While the location and cleanliness met expectations, the hostel’s operation style felt more “self-service” and less attentive to guest concerns. On the first night, my sleep was disrupted by a guest in the quiet zone who was both noisy and snored loudly throughout the night. It affected everyone in the vicinity, and despite some guests (myself included) gently knocking to try and reduce the disturbance, it continued until morning. On the second night, the same issue occurred, but it was made worse by a sudden emergency alarm at around 4:45 AM, requiring all guests to evacuate and wait outside for inspection before returning to bed. Understandably, safety comes first, but the timing and the combination of disturbances made it impossible to rest. When I tried to contact staff in the middle of the night, there was no one available, so I had to raise the issue through Trip.com. Although staff later offered some coins as a goodwill gesture, it did not feel proportionate to the £80 per night rate... especially when nearby private rooms can be found for much less. Sadly, what I hoped would be a unique and comfortable stay turned into a frustrating experience. I will not be returning, and I would advise light sleepers to consider alternatives."

25Hours Hotel Copenhagen Indre by
8.8 (134 reviews)

25Hours Hotel Copenhagen Indre by ★★★★

📍 Pilestræde 65, Indre By, Copenhagen

"This is an instagrammable hotel, located next to "The Round Tower" and near Stroget. However, the nearest transportation hub (Norreport) is a walk away. Usually not a problem to walk, but if you're carrying your luggage to and from hotel, it can be a challenge. Else, take a taxi. Breakfast area is also very instagrammable. Breakfast was ok."

Hotel Hans
8.9 (86 reviews)

Hotel Hans ★★★★

📍 Åboulevard 29, Norrebro, Copenhagen

"This gem of a hotel did at the border of two key districts, nearby restaurants, metro and access to the lakes. The building has been nicely refurbished. Breakfsst is very good. Rooms are comfortable. But the real asset is the staff, who are warm, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in every way. Two community happy hours occur every day. Jazz on occasion. A great place to spent a full week, as we did, or a night."

"Super nice location. Room size acceptable. Fair CP value. Recommendable. The only bad is the locker fee for storing the luggage. This is the first time I met such situation."

"Loved this hotel! It was quiet, clean, and tidy, and super close to the airport. There's also a big supermarket nearby, which was very convenient for shopping. It's definitely the best choice for a two-day stay in Copenhagen. Highly recommend!"

Wakeup Copenhagen - Carsten Niebuhrs Gade ★★
"As a lady travelling solo, I was put in room 311: - it was the noisiest room you can imagine, may as well have been sleeping directly on the train tracks! If you ever go there and care about sleeping at night - ask for a room facing the courtyard. Otherwise you're looking directly at a train track intersection that is active all night, producing noise at an unbelievable level - the closed window doesn't prevent it at all. - The room is conjoined with another room, so even though the shared door is locked - it's as if you're staying with other guests in the same room acoustically. And the worst part - I didn't feel safe! The guests on the other room woke me up when they got to their room at 00:30, by trying to open the shared door between our rooms several times! I woke up from the knob that was just above my head being shaken again and again!!! As a solo traveller lady I was alarmed, started crying and kindly asked that they stop. Then they played loud music though it was after midnight. I asked them again politely through the thin wall to stop - which they did, but then they started talking loudly and walking about the tiny room making crazy noise until 3:30 am. I of course couldn't sleep even with noise-cancelling airpods. I then knocked on the wall calmly to say that it's almost morning and I really would like to sleep, to which they reacted by coming to my room door knocking! I was so scared, I had to wait for them to go to sleep and finally after they showered and went to bed (yes, i heard all of that as well as their entire conversation) at 4:00 I felt brave enough to leave the room and go to reception to ask for a change of rooms. Emma was lovely and understanding, and sent me to a quite room where I was able to sleep well for the remaining 2 hours I had before having to wake up early. This ruined my entire weekend, but the staff is wonderful and Emma in particular is an asset! So kind and empathetic. Give this lady a raise."

"This hotel is about 3.5 stars. For example, the floor and furniture are all scratched, and the bed sheets are disposable chemical fiber? No slippers, no bottled water, the renovation is noisy, there is no lobby, there is only one person at the service desk, wearing casual clothes, and the hygiene is not good enough... My deluxe sky view room? Oh my god! Give me back my money! The only thing is that the location is good👍. The waiter is also OK."

Copenhagen Downtown Hostel ★★
"The atmosphere was genuinely welcoming and relaxed and the location is great, but the hygiene is not really good for the bathroom, there is a weak water flow for the shower, and the hotel reception was in the bar, and the rooms were above the bar, making it a bit noisy at night. This hostel don't have any common areas; you either went out or stayed in the dorm. They didn't even provide shower gel or shampoo."

"The hotel's design was adorable, and the room was very clean. There are many rooms, so it was a bit of a walk to get to ours. Its central location makes it super accessible. The price is a bit on the higher side, so I'd recommend it for a special occasion."
