The Audo Residence was a great experience overall. Note: the hotel is outside the main part of the town but is easily accessed via the Metro or by bike. The rooms are sumptuously appointed with gorgeous furniture and the exposed beams and the dark color on the wall were so inviting to have a cozy experience. However, the lighting in the room left a lot to be desired. The room I had had no overhead light in the room thus at night with the dark walls and only table lamps to guide me I often had to use the flashlight on my phone to find things in my suitcase. I really could not see much in the room at night. I know it was the "vibe" the designers were going for but practically speaking I didn't enjoy that. The bed was super comfy though and the bathroom was well appointed (and well lit) with great smelling products. There was a specific smell in the room (perhaps perfume) that I did not enjoy but that was a personal preference. But the windows open which was also a wonderful touch so I could let in the cool evening air (*and get out the smell I didn't like). The cafe and shop downstairs were gems and the staff was lovely. The only other thing was I did find it a little odd that the elevator closed around 6pm every day so if you were coming back to the hotel after that time you needed to take the stairs to the third floor. I didn't have a problem with it but I did think about other travelers that might have mobility issues that this might not be the place for you.

Interior design is great and rooms quite clean, apart from old facilities in bathroom such as rancid and expired body lotion with a strange milky texture and odd "off" smell. But coffee machine worked fine and soft drinks are included in the minibar. Metro station close by, in otherwise "off" industrial area still under construction. Everything is to be purchased in the shop. The commercial side is clearly the main reason for the The Audo to exist; as a prolonged show room. Common library never open during our stay. Neither restaurant. We managed to get in through a side door with a code at around 21.30. On the web site, owners are keen to point out that guest are "responsible for their own stay" - in our eyes an odd view of customers. (A welcoming attitude and service is normally also on the providers side in hospitality, if repeat guest are desired. Of course, everyone is then responsible for own behavior, but that also includes owners&staff.) Sewer smell in the elevator. Unfortunately, all common facilities seemed to be closed during our stay, including the shop where we were supposed to purchase all Scandic brands in house. Service is close to zero, especially the staff in the coffee shop. They were honestly rude, even if we were the only visitors before the coffee shop opened. At breakfast, you may choose two items; 1 oz plain yoghurt with grains or old rye bread from the day before. Or fruit salad consisting of one imported green apple cut in pieces. Either a small coffee OR a glass of unspecified juice, clearly not fresh. Staff didn't notice us leaving. No wonder since they looked away deliberately, despite our departure/goodbye and bags. Perhaps we didn't fit in to the desired design of The Audo. We are fine with that, knowing there are so many other, real high level boutique hotels in Copenhagen with a warm welcome to all guests.

I visited the Audo with friends for a breakfast and was surprised to find the most lovely courtyard in Copenhagen. We had amazing breakfast and coffee in the sun at a very fair price. The indoor surroundings are beautiful as well and we wanted to buy the whole store! The sweet staff will for sure make me come back as it would also be ideal as a peaceful workspace for me.

I have stayed in hotels in and around Copenhagen for years, but alas have found The Audo (this is my second stay) and what a charming, comfortable place to stay -- actually a residence rather than a hotel. The room was ample, well-appointed, and comfortable -- it features a Dux bed and if you have not experienced the wonderment of a Dux, you owe it to yourself to enjoy a sleep like no other. The Audo is not in central Copenhagen, rather in a newly-developed area with charming restaurants and shops, yet only three or four stops on the Metro to the tourist area of Copenhagen (Kongens Nytorv, Strøget, etc). Breakfast is included in the room rate I booked and is delightful. The venue has available for your use meeting rooms, a library, a cafe, a restaurant for fine dining and a gift shop of some delightful Danish products for home. If you want a place to relax as if it were your own home away from home, The Audo is ideal.

I stayed a weekend at The Audo, and it was absolutely incredible. The room were really pretty and you could just feel that the furniture, the towels, and even the soap at the bathroom were of high quality, which gave the room a very luxurious vibe. In general, the entire hotel was really nice. The hosts were very sweet, and made sure my coffee cup weren't empty (important for me in order to get up in the morning), their breakfast was good, and I could choose between everything. At night, the vibe was very classy as well. We often sat outside where they have an amazing lounge area, with great music and cold drinks (can you feel the vibe?). The area around The Audo is also worth a visit. It is a quite new area, where we took some morning dives in Nordhavn. It is close to the metro and with a couple of stops, you're in inner Copenhagen. All in all, a great experience. I can only recommend!

A pleasure staying at The Audo - from Friday to Sunday - with their adorable rooms and nice design/art. Only good things to say. The food was lovely, the bar had a nice ambiance and staff incredibly sweet. Best of recommendations!
