We honestly chose this hotel because of its supposed proximity to the beach. There is a good distance and stairs to get to the beach. As for breakfast, the only service used, it was not what I expected, given the category of the establishment. In fact, out of three breakfasts, in two of them the soy milk was spoiled!!! Also mention that the cleanliness left me quite dissatisfied. We had some sheets stained with what looked like blood... they didn't change them until the second day... I wanted another pillow and I grabbed it from the closet and some huge fluff fell on me!!! I also post pictures here...
The only thing that saved this disappointment was the attention of the staff, always friendly and the well-kept outdoor facilities.
I'm sorry for this assessment, but I think there are things to improve, especially given the 4-star category.

Very good service. Good destination buffet and dinner. Spacious facilities and very comfortable and numerous hammocks in the pool, with umbrellas. All very well. Highly recommended.

Los pequeños detalles son los que marcan la diferencia, si pierdes esto, pasas a ser uno más de tantos. En mi opinión es lo que le ha sucedido a este hotel. Éramos clientes de la cadena desde hace años y nuestra estancia de este año nos ha decepcionado. El hotel ha perdido calidad en varios frentes y no solo por la separación entre el antiguo Fuerte y el Costa Luz, hay más cosas que por si solas no son muy significativas pero que si las sumas hacen que se pierda ese "algo más" que tenía este hotel. Las instalaciones siguen siendo bonitas, las habitaciones son amplias y todo está limpio y cuidado; pero antes tenía algo que año a año nos hacía volver; que no encontrabas en otros hoteles y que te hacía recomendarlo a familiares y amigos. Por ejemplo hemos detectado que no han sabido trasladar a los empleados más jóvenes la amabilidad y el buen hacer que aún mantiene los empleados más experimentados y que era un aspecto diferenciador del hotel y de la cadena en general. Es una verdadera lástima.
