Candlewood Suites Columbus-Northeast

Me and my boyfriend stayed a couple of times at this hotel a few weeks ago ! Friendly staff especially Bobbi, she was very friendly, respect, and helped with anything we needed. Well me and my boyfriend stayed here a couple of night because of his work and the heater was not working in our room, which is understandable because it’s just now getting cold here in Georgia, but I went and asked someone at the front desk for an extra cover because the heater in our room is not working and it’s freezing. She looked me dead in my eyes and said nope! That was crazy to me! We just paid all this money to this hotel and I can’t get an extra cover because the heaters in your hotel isn’t working... so when I told my boyfriend about it he says she’s the manager and she’s always rude for no reason . Which is not a good look for this hotel she needs to be in a office alone and away from customers. She makes the front desk look bad, especially when I know some of them don’t act the way she does. Tried to talk to the owner he never responded. So I called corporate and took matters with them.
Hyatt Place Columbus North

Traditionally, we stay at a different hotel chain when traveling, but that hotel was sold out when I tried to make reservations. I imagine the local military base with its various ceremonies really keeps hotels in this area busy. By default, I saw Hyatt Place had availability with only a slightly higher price than what we normally pay, so I made the reservations. This was one of those happy accidents that resulted in me cancelling our December reservations at that other hotel and rebooking with Hyatt Place when we return for my son's military graduation. First, the price is in the same range with Holiday Inn Express and similar hotels, yet the facility and amenities are so much nicer. Our king suite room was wonderful (again -- price was slightly more than a regular room elsewhere). The bed was so comfortable, we had a nice work area, sink / counter / frig area, couch, huge tv, nice solid fixture, gorgeous shower area, great hygiene products, etc. Breakfast was wonderful. I'm not sure if they were missing anything at all, including two types of eggs, breakfast meats (yes bacon), danishes, cereals, etc. The pool and gym were clean and well-kept. I felt a little guilty -- as if I should be paying much more for our stay. I'm looking forward to returning.
Super 8 by Wyndham Columbus Airport

The owner of this place is so rude, it's beyond ridiculous. he acts as if you are bothering him to stay at his hotel. and heaven forbid you book your reservation online, if you don't come to desk to make your reservation, he is twice as angry. and you better not need anything or ask for anything as he is always asleep I the nasty floor behind the desk .. if you disturb him for any reason he is jit happy . he definitely does not appreciate elite rewards members. rooms are nasty and run down with unfixed hoes in the walls, broken curtain rods, pretty much no repairs are ever done. the soap was so cheap, it would barely lather. house keeping stuff will try to come in your room without knocking . a/c /heat units are so outdated and make crazy noises. this hotel is definitely not for anyone with small children or anyone who expects their business to be appreciated. I would also like to add that their is no breakfast, & no coffee, and desk will not provide any change for vending & their is no working ice machine. it was broken. Wyndham needs to take the right to use the super 8 name away from this property . they def don't hold them selves to any standard

Clean, friendly front desk. Will stay again!
Hilton Garden Inn Columbus
4/523 Reviews
It's your regular Hilton Garden Inn with the lovely colors, open lobby, engaging bar and all the other amenities, but the staff here go out of their way to make you feel at home. We had a great check-in and the counter staff was always willing to help with tourism needs and suggestions for dinner, etc. And every day we got a text asking if our stay was going well, did we need anything?, etc. Never had a hotel do that! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Other things to note - there's a lovely lake out back with a place to sit and enough the sunset, maybe have a drink. Ducks are at the lake so if you have kids they will enjoy seeing them. There's a walking trail, too, so a nice change from the boring fitness room.
Hotel Indigo Columbus at Riverfront Place

My stay was very disappointing. I specifically selected this hotel over other hotels in Columbus because they list they have a heated outdoor pool. This feature was so important to me and my family members that I was willing to pay the almost $300 night and the valet parking of $12 a day. Well, the pool was not heated. Same cold water as any other outdoor pool. Multiple requests up to the maintenance manager to heat the pool was denied. Another disappointment was the rooms do NOT have smart tvs. Just basic cable with no availability to stream Netflix, Prime videos, etc. So to get around this, we had to screen cast from our phone to the tv. What hotel does not have smart apps for screening?? On the positive side, the day supervisor was helpful, the desk staff was nice but needs training in problem solving customer issues and offering solutions other than just saying no or I don't know, the hotel building is relatively new and the valet guys were awesome. Needless to say, I cut my stay short and will not stay here in the future. This is not what I expect from a 4 star hotel.
