Woo! I am so happy I did not change my reservation based on the reviews I read. I stayed 3 nights for a tennis event with several other women in early June. While the exterior of this hotel is undergoing renovations and looks dated, the interior was mostly updated and more importantly ... clean. The staff is really what makes this hotel feel like a home away from home. They were warm, friendly, and super helpful at check in, and for any requests I had during my stay. Housekeeping kept me stocked with fresh coffee pods and towels. The pool was sparkling, and the lobby has several gathering areas for groups. Another person in my group encountered a problem with her room and they immediately changed her room for her without a hassle. I will definitely return to this hotel if back in Columbus for tennis.

Cleo (not sure if this is her name because she removed her name tag when asked to confirm her name) at the breakfast counter was extremely rude and unprofessional with me and other guests with her inappropriate tone and delivery! She began to argue with me and the other guests as if the breakfast was coming from her kitchen. And then she had the audacity to have a male companion waiting for her with a Burger King bag as if he was coming to “hang out” with her while she’s working. I travel frequently and this has NEVER happened to me! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! However, Lucy was GREAT with deescalating the situation and I think Marriott should hire more employees like Lucy. Also, when you arrive to the hotel you will be unable to park in front of the entrance. I was extremely upset with that because it was raining. I’ll attach photo as reference. Overall, I will NEVER go there again!

This place is run down. The front portico is closed which meant that we had to get poured on when we got here. There are stains in the ceiling and the bathroom tiles are cracked. I was extremely disappointed when the front desk associate refused to tune the lobby TV to the Super Bowl.

It is a great facility. With a real courtyard so nice outdoor space if the weather permits. But what makes this location excellent is the people - from the Manager (Robert) to the Front Desk (Toni) to the Bistro Ladies and the Houseman (Matthew) and everyone in between, you get a smile, a Yes, and superb service. It was like being at a friend's house. The attitude is definitely - How can I help make your stay wonderful? Will look forward to going back.

The hotel as no microwave in room only community ones by front desk and ice machines. Refrigerator is the smallest office style. The couch is dated as well as the carpet. Cheapest thing a little store is 250 for a candy bar 6 dollars for a water. No restaurant to eat the little bar has breakfast starting at 10 dollars. I will say the staff is friendly and none of this is their fault. Not a long stay hotel
