We stayed at the Palliser Lodge in room 212. Check-in was at the Glacier which they don't tell you ahead of time. The condo is a small one bedroom facing the hill. There is no view because the hill slopes up quickly behind the building. The room was big enough for my wife and I. Frying pans were disgusting. The rest of the condo was well stocked. The ski storage room was full so we had to store our skis in our vehicle. There is a small hot tub which is looking old. You want to have the jets running so you don't see the condition of the water. For some reason we were the only ones who used the hot tub all weekend. :) The cost per night was very high and not worth it considering the size, view and overall condition of the unit.

This place was fantastic. Stayed 2 nights since it was the low season. Nothing else was open on the mountain until late May, so be prepared to bring your own food, or drive 13 kms down the mountain. This place was so spacious. Lots of storage, washer and dryer, dishwasher and heated floors in the bathroom. No air-conditioning but did have a fan. Beautiful views from our balcony. Will come again next year.

The beginning of my stay here was a bit of a disaster, going from one room to the next without either of them being housekept. After finding the first one to be better After all, the younger maintenance guy on duty fixed the place up and we were all set. Management made it right the next day and the room itself, a generous suite was well appointed and convenient. A huge deck with a stunning view over the valley made it worth enduring. Had the potential to be an amazing stay if the housekeeping staff had decided to show up some day. Hope that side of things improves

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with a hot tub on the balcony. The room was spacious, had everything you needed, but run down. Unfortunately, there's no A/C so it did get quite warm. One fan was broken too. The hot tub turned my dark green swimsuit to a sage colour. The balcony was quite dirty (food spilt from a previous guest). Underground parking was nice. Overall, I don't think we'd stay again, more cons than pros.

Palliser Lodge, Kicking Horse: The lodge itself is away from the other buildings in the resort, and so you check in at Glacier Lodge in the main part of the resort and then drive up to Palliser. Check-in was friendly and reasonably efficient, if not very proactive. And those on the desk seemed to have little idea about the timings of the resort. When asked when the rental shop shut, we were first told that it had already shut (at 15:30). Another member of staff overheard this and said that it shut at 17:00. Actually, it shuts at 16:30. I would have thought that the questions that people most commonly ask at check-in in a small winter resort involve the opening times and locations of the lift pass office, the rental shop and the lifts. Having got key cards and gone up to Palliser Lodge, we found that the key cards would not open the ski locker. So we had to walk back down to Glacier Lodge to get those changed. Having then finally got into the ski locker, it was apparent that the locking slots on the ski racks did not take two pairs of skis as we had been told at reception, just one pair. So, that involved another trip down to Glacier Lodge to get another ski lock. For me, as a Brit, the condo-style room had the same problems that I have with pretty much all Canadian properties. The beds are too soft, and the lighting is too low. Apart from not being able to see anything, the absence of master light switches at the door and by the bed is a mystery. Instead, there is always a vast array of scattered light switches and lamps that need to be turned on/off individually, with the result that leaving the room or going to bed ends up being a long, complex mission to turn off a plethora of different switches. Oh, and there are never any USB sockets. There was no housekeeping until day 4 of your stay. Since we were only there for three nights this didn’t happen. The amenities in the bathroom were basic but sufficient, and the room had a washing machine and dryer. The rental shop in the resort is not a place I ever need to go back to. Surly staff, who had zero interest in customer service, and who shoved out knackered old equipment that had not been serviced. Excuses about being too busy were pathetic – I want what I have pre-paid for and this was mid-January, without much snow and the resort was pretty empty. I had also signed waivers online, but that whole process needed to be repeated in the shop in ink. The systems in place for collecting pre-booked ski passes were also archaic. I turned up with a spreadsheet for the journey with the booking reference for my ski pass, and my ID etc. etc. But they could not help me without the original email. Quite bizarre, since as far as I could tell the email had no more information on it than I had already given (including the booking reference at the top). We stayed at this property as part of a trip along the ‘Powder Highway’ in January 2023 (although only 50% of that name was correct at the time). The cost of

There’s enough bad reviews here that we don’t have much to add that hasn’t already been said. Dirty sheets that don’t fit the bed. Broken front entrance and a ridiculous check in. Expensive dirty rooms. Broken toilet….ugh, the list goes on. What a complete embarrassing resort. Too bad

We had a relaxing few nights stay just before the Summer Season Opening of Kicking Horse. We just missed the re-opening of the Gondola and an opportunity to visit Boo the famous Grizzly by a couple of days but the Complex was otherwise fully functioning and quiet. Bliss. Rode that Gondola in Winter a few years ago and it was so enjoyable we hope to experience it in Summer one day. Our spacious 1 Bedroom apartment was comfortable with large bedroom, bathroom, Lounge/Dining and an excellent kitchen. The scenic drive down to Golden should be about 20 minutes but the Black Bears were thick on the ground and were impossible to ignore. Respectfully. They were a highlight of our Kicking Horse visit. We’ve never seen so many Cubs. Often Three cubs with a surprisingly calm Mom. Apparently the Bears are no deterrent to Walkers and Cyclists either. An adrenalin hit. Golden has several big Grocery Stores so we bought groceries and happily ate in after busy days of sightseeing. Also a wealth of Restaurants and Fast Food Chains too. Twilight made sitting out on the wide rear deck the perfect lazy end to amazing but long days. The safe basement carpark with Elevator access to all levels was excellent too.

Stayed in 2 bed suite with a tub on balcony. Lots of safe and very comfortable. Excellent kitchen. A little tired with a few bits of damage. Also not great check in down hill at glacier. Overall good value for a ply of room but it is a ski resort so you are 15l out of Golden. There is a small store and a bar restaurant and a great gondola ride and bike trails

Great experience. Check-in was slightly cumbersome, but otherwise a great stay. Heated bathroom floor was a very nice touch 😊. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen large, and all amenities excellent. Very clean building, and very quiet at night. Loved the ski storage room, and boot-up area was very convenient.
