The difference between 'Very good' and 'Excellent' in a review comes down to the little things, the small touches that you notice, & most importantly the desire of the host to achieve that goal, & Catherine does, she cares, and it shows! She is a charming lady & an excellent host, and it is an 'Excellent' farmstay B&B. We will be back & selfishly I'm reluctant to publicise how good it is. Thanks

This is the best B&B we have had the pleasure of staying in. The rooms are spotless, well equipped with quality furnishings and nice touches. Catherine is a lovely lady and nothing is a bother. All round a 1st class experience. We will definitely return. Thanks Catherine.

We booked both rooms for a night (local wedding) for 2 couples plus a toddler and were blown away by everything, before, during, and after!! Situated in a quiet lane but near to major roads, this was one of, if not the best bnb we've stayed at. Quality breakfast, impeccable warm service, lovely spacious and well appointed rooms and bathrooms, loads of little extra's (chocs/pastries/yogs/fruit). Great admin and comms throughout. GO!!

Really warm and friendly welcome from Catherine. I was staying overnight prior to playing football in the u3a National Festival at the University of York. Excellent breakfast, lovely room and easily accessible to York Park & Ride facility. Short drive to local village pubs with good beer and food. Beautiful rural setting yet close to main routes.

Stayed for one night in this beautiful bed and breakfast. Lovely host who couldn’t do enough for us. So friendly and welcoming. Room was charming with every amenity we could have wished for and the bed was so comfortable. Superb breakfast. Will definitely recommend to all my family and friends and hope to stay again soon.

We stayed five nights at this wonderful B&B just outside York set in lovely, quiet countryside. Our host, Catherine, was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. An excellent full breakfast every morning with good choices. We even had use of a small kitchen downstairs throughout the day. The room was really comfortable with excellent facilities. My wife finds many beds uncomfortable due to her disability but this was quickly remedied on request with a changed bed and bedding! Catherine advised us on getting in and around York and the surrounding area. We will certainly be returning to this B&B as soon as we can. We have stayed in many B&Bs over the years, but this is the best ever.

Beautiful B&B with everything you need in a convenient location away from the hustle and bustle of York centre but within easy reach. Catherine is such a friendly and accommodating host! Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be back soon.
