The Villa in Lavinia is in a beautiful old building. From the road doesn't look so great but inside is very nice. The owner Tyrone made us feel very welcome and all the staff were kind and friendly. The hotel is convenient for getting into Colombo. Many nearby buses go there. Also a nearby supermarket and several good restaurants. The part of the beach near to the hotel is not so nice but is better if you walk further down towards the big and famous Hotel Mount Lavinia. We stayed 5 nights but the hotel and the area is probably better suited to shorter stays. Room simple but adequate. Very good internet connexion. All in all, a pleasant stay.

The hostel has the best location: really calm area, just 200mts from the beach and 15 minutes by train from the city center (Colombo). Good atmosphere. Amazing common area. Beautiful sea view. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free filtered water. Shared rooms (With fans) Private Rooms (With and Without A/C) The area around has many conveniences: market, pharmacy, restaurants. Just 15 min walking distance from Mount Lavinia train station and 5 min walking to bus stand (many options to go to Colombo)

We visited as a family of 7, including 2 kids. Chandana, the host, was very accommodating to our needs and went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. The place had a backpacker retreat type setting with Boho themes. The place is clean and well kept but appears to be a bit old, so expect the usual quirks of older homes. Parking is available for small cars only. Larger vehicles would need to park at the top of the cul-de-sac by the arterial lane. Overall, it was a positive experience.

A great comfortable hotel with everything necessary, bed generally super. There is a workplace, the Internet is good. It was really comfortable, unexpectedly better than on the photo. Enabled early settlement. Air conditioner, fan, hot water, safe. I didn't like · The feeling of the strict is just, the requirement to pay in dollars (but accept cards), demanded a vaccination certificate (this January 2023, when all canceled as 2 months), on the doors of the inscription that it is impossible to bring guests. After a bunch of kind gestahouses it seemed to be too serious. The area is a little strange, lots of homeless. , but walked even at night, it was okay. Overall quiet, but if someone in the corridor starts talking then noisy, staff better behave quietly, especially in the morning

Everything was excellent. Very good buffet for breakfast. Nice pool on the roof with gym and coctail bar. Granbell colombo is the most beautiful city hotel in colombo , It offer really japanese hospitality experience , foods are really tasty , Hotel has most beautiful infinity pool at roof top. This was the place we chose to stay for 5 days when Colombo curfew was enforced. For 5 days Bandar was more than helpful, ket everyone happy and things clean. Try the new burgers. It’s phenomenal..!! Thanks to Chef Aqib & Zeeyard. They are superstars. Cafe staff inc barista’s are robin to their kitchens Batman (of course the chefs)! Okay. I’ve been an avid patron of TITO’s cafe in ground level at Marriott hotel Colombo. Always stuck to coffee and sometimes croissants. But the new and introduced burgers especially beef burger just too brilliant. The cheddar cheese, the bacon the burger the sauce’s just the right amount. Try the Spanish coffee or the cafe lattes ask for single shot of espresso! You would go wrong here.

The room was booked for one night and included breakfast the following morning, which my parents thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel also has a restaurant where guests can purchase extra meals at any time, which was very convenient.
The availability of a car park made their stay even more hassle-free. My parents were very satisfied with every aspect of their visit, and I’m grateful to the hotel crew for making their stay so enjoyable.

李李First of all, the hotel is historical, suitable for taking pictures, and the pool is good. Now talking about the disadvantages, the power supply in the room is very unreasonable, you need to use a large plug-in board (provided by the hotel), the bedding is too old, the bed is a bit collapsed, and it will ring when it turns over! And the most unbearable are crows and mosquitoes! Too many mosquitoes. I was awakened in the middle of the night and asked for mosquito coils at the front desk. Eating breakfast is more scary. Sitting in the house is too dim. Sitting outside and biting mosquitoes to coax the crow! Hurry up for breakfast and each person was bitten by five or six bales! Still sprayed with insect repellent! The crow fell on the back of his chair twice! Experience the worst breakfast ever! The hotel restaurant and lounge are very beautiful, it is recommended to have a drink and take a picture, not recommended if staying

The staff , right from GM to everyone else are so warm, courteous and helpful and they go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable.I had a ligament tear in my ankle while in Srilanka and be it GM Mr. Siddique , Mr. Emmanuel, the bell boy Mr. Sujith, and the rest of the staff , they were all so supportive and caring that I was totally moved by the way they took care of me. Strongly recommend this place with its beautiful people to all and I will surely be staying here again when I visit Srilanka

I didn't ask birthday cake for my wife but when we checked in, it took a bit while as the manager seemed to be a bit busy to handle our check-in and he went back and forth to check something. When we went up to the room, we found there were nice cake says ”Congratulations” and it was so touched and nice. Also as we could enjoy late check-out, we had a very good rest during the weekend. The bed is so comfy enough to pass out all night and room was clean and well managed. But above all, nothing can beat the beautiful view from the room. We definitely visit this hotel again.

I’ve stayed here for a one night stay due to a business activity in colombo, facilities were alright for the price, room was 217 and staff seemed tired but average communication with customers. If anyone is looking for a place around colombo for official or personal activates this is an alright place so the commute is effective and efficient. As per the average business personal and for a small family you have everything what you look for in accommodation vise, clean comfortable place, everything functioned accordingly in my room, there was an odor in the wash room but you can look pass that from my perspective to my room. GGuest UserWhere can I begin to start about this hotel? From the minute we walked through the door you would think you were in a 5* hotel with the level of service you receive. The room was modern and beds extremely comfortable. There were a few bits of damage but nothing we couldn't see past. The only gripe I had with the room is that because the Make up room/ Do not disturb LED light is beside the bed this lights up blue on a night and can be bothersome. A fantastic mention for our housekeeper Gihan keeping us well stocked in towels and everything tidy. The pool is well maintained and pool towels are of a very good quality. We looked in the gym and contrary to a previous review the air con works. Bar service and the range of drinks are excellent, as is the Cafe on the ground floor which has excellent cakes and is very reasonably priced. Infact we couldn't believe it.
