Colchester Town Centre

5 minutes walk to Colchester town centre… ..clean hotel .. staff was polite.. Room was clean Apart from a pair of Boxer Shorts left on Bathroom floor By previous Guests But a quick word with reception, Got Housekeeping to go in and remove them from Room

Honestly a lovely little hotel, I’ve almost always gone with premier inn and this hotel was a model example as to why. The breakfast was lovely (and had black pudding which not many places do) the dinner options were great and we had a lovely meal. 2 members of staff stood out in particular for me because of their vast understanding of Autism. The Monday we were informed of the fire alarm test at 12pm but we were a little behind and both struggle with loud noises and as soon as I mentioned ASD to the staff who was setting up the test they said they are more than happy to wait for us to leave before they do it, even though it was only a couple minutes it was so nice of them to do that and we did not need to stress. Unfortunately on our final night I became unwell that required medical intervention from the emergency services, and another member of staff was so helpful with my partner who struggled to communicate what was happening and helped with keeping her calm and stayed close by my room until the paramedics arrived. It was so much more than what we expected of them and helped with my condition at the time, got me some water, and also made sure to come and check on me in the morning too before we checked out and offered some help if we needed it. Honestly this is why I love premier inn, I’ve never come across a member of staff that was never ready to go above for us. It was my first time at this particular hotel and definitely won’t be my last

Staff was fantastic, highlighted by Jess who went above and beyond on numerous occasions to make our stay feel like we were home. Cleaning staff were also great, and it was nice to come back to a freshened up room after a day out sightseeing. The shower water pressure was phenomenal and stayed hot all the time. Cooked breakfast in the mornings was a great convenience and the variety was a good way to start the day, as was the dinner service in the evening. Which we took advantage a couple of times, both of which we were happy with the meal quality and service staff provided. I especially liked the Seasonal decorations put up during the holidays. Would recommend to others and would stay here again should we revisit.

Exceptional service and excellent customer care from start to departure couldn’t ask for better . Excellent value for money , close to all town and city.Excellent food!! Personal experience was faultless……. Highly recommended place .

Rooms smell like a muscle gym, Sweaty and humid. Windows do not open, A/C sounds like a jet engine and the fan still makes a noise (all night) even when its switched off. Nice location within 5 min walk of center. Extra costs incurred for parking. Nice area, average hotel.

A good Premier Inn in a convenient location for my evening out. Everything as expected from a Premier Inn. Car parking is a bit sparse if you arrive late

My family and I were given a room with terrible air conditioning for the first 2 days, air con was not working and room was as hot as 26 celcius with no window.

The fire alarm went off only for a few minutes this morning couldn’t be helped but got out breakfast free for the inconvenience The staff are great so helpful and and couldn’t apologise enough! Make a great team The room was spotless Great stay ❤️

The main issue with this place is the parking. I was overcharged on my previous visit and the staff claimed it was nothing to do with them and advised I call the number on the ticket machine. No one pics up. Tried for 3 days several times a day but just ended up paying. This time I parked elsewhere
