The front desk staff were really friendly when we had breakfast there

Good location (still need to drive to downtown, but it's just a minute or two). Great price. Clean & comfortable. Ice machine is always full. Nice mini fridge with freezer. Parking right outside your door. One hour from the east entrance of Yellowstone and the drive is spectacular. Nice outside seating area. One negative is the breakfast which is minimal but a plus for a motor inn. Overall - skip the high priced hotels and run, do not walk to the Sunrise Motor Inn.

Giving 2 starsdue to location and price. Im not a motel kind of person. This place is very old and run down. Needs a major remodel. I did feel the room was clean. Pool was open but it was too cold to go in. Would not stay here agin

There was a review just before we got there about this place being dirty! It is older, but our room, bed, bathroom were all clean. The bathroom needed some base boards finished, But other than that, it was fine for this type of motel. We have stayed here before years ago and it was good then too! The pool was open, but had a bit of a film on the top of the water so we didn’t go in. Had a nice deck area around the pool. Also had a nice sitting area in the middle of the parking lot with shade, tables, chairs, where we played cards for two nights! They also have chairs outside ur door to relax in too. R price for Jul 11 $129 US and the next was only $99 US. Hotel rooms r so expensive now that this was reasonable compared to others. The bed was comfortable. Pillows as usual could be better but not horrible if u stack them. I would stay here again. Breakfast was included but not an overly big amount or variety of food.

This is a cheaper option to the expensive hotels in Cody and we were pleasantly surprised. Good size room, all clean bedding etc, fridge, coffee pot etc. parking outside your room. Great location for stroll into town. Although Cody is further away for Yellowstone Park than West Yellowstone the drive is so much nicer with fantastic scenery and the town is really friendly and not as commercialised as West Yellowstone.

I bet this motel was really charming back in the day. It has a central courtyard area with four big cottonwood trees and a sheltered patio area. Good location: close to restaurants and other attractions in Cody. I am a single female traveler, and I felt safe staying here. But the upkeep is not great. I don’t mind outdated decor or furniture, no big deal. But the bathroom was not clean. I had to wipe down the bathroom sink and surfaces with Clorox wipes that I had in my car. There was toothpaste in the sink and big smudges on the faucet (vs. the shiny look of being freshly cleaned). And the toilet definitely was not cleaned after the last guest. Also, two of the three lamps in the room did not work. I tried to figure out if they were not plugged in or just burned-out lightbulbs. I did not call the motel office to complain about these issues because I didn’t want someone coming to my room late at night, especially because of Covid exposure. The window air conditioner took all night to get the room cool, but eventually it felt cool enough to sleep. The beds were fine, the pillows OK. I got a good night’s sleep. You get what you pay for, I guess, and this motel was one of the cheaper options I found in Cody. The hotel does have some nice features, like the block windows in the bathroom that provide natural light while still protecting your privacy. Good shower head/pressure. It could be a charming place again with better upkeep, and definitely more care with cleaning.

No frills; but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Do not wait to get breakfast (toast, cereal, mini-muffins). At 09:00 hours without a second to spare the staff puts it all away, even if you were waiting a turn to get close to the food. Other than my toast, I had a “plate” of driy cereal since the bowls and milk were gone.

Nice and quaint. Always very clean. Stay every year on our trip to Sturgis. Extremely biker friendly and has a nice continental breakfast. Super close to shopping and restaurants. Staff is alwYs so nice and helpful.
