The Square Coburg

The hotel is really aged and is for sure not a 4 star hotel. The cleaning is perfect and the personnel is fine. The management is terrible, unprofessional and unrespectful of customer's needs and has a flexibility of a stone. There is no lift and if you are at the third floor it would be a huge problem. The plugs are old and dangerous and an inspection from local outorities is highly recommended. i will never come back in this structure. There are more valuable ones in similar locations for a lowest price.

Excellent. We traveled from Erfurt - our autumn break city in Germany, annually for 2 weeks, which is an adorable place, by ICE - and stayed overnight, in this charming German City, of Coburg. The amenities of "The Square" - and its location - staff co-operation graded 5 star. Our room, spotless in cleanliness, excellent shower functionality, plus abjointing kitchenette, overlooking the majestic and historical Town Marktplatz, with Prince Alfred looking up at us, his spectacular statue, placed in a rightful position in the Marktplatz, just adorable. Walking Coburg delightful. The Bahnhof - 10 minutes' flat to slightly downhill walk. Recommend taxi up to the Veste Coburg - to visit, this magnificent Castle, as to walk it, very steep in the climb elevation. We walked down 25 minutes in glorious weather - which was majestic in the autumn weather. Coburg, Germany - the high percentage of smiles on people's faces, really "touched" me. Was it I smiled as a sign of hello to them, sitting have a drink or just passing them walking, which is a part of my being, or are they just polite and friendly in their nature? What is the cost of a smile in the world we ALL live in 2022 / We will return sooner than later from our home, in Budapest, Hungary.
