This is amazing. The spacious a d well manicured grounds are a wonderful natural setting in which to relax whether lounging in seating around the yard or by the pool. Our suite in very spacious and comfortable with every accommodation we could need. Most of all Debi has been an incredible host graciously accommodating any need. Breakfast this morning was delicious and talking with our host delightful.

Shane Acres Country Inn was a sight for sore eyes for my sister and me after a 5-hour drive in the chilly spring rain. What beautiful surroundings! We were in the aptly named Tranquility Room which had an electric fireplace which we turned on immediately. The luxurious suite was about the size of my Boston apartment. It was great for my handicapped sister who could park nearby and had only a few steps to access the suite. The king-size bed was unusually comfortable. The breakfast of French toast, egg dish, banana bread, strawberries and orange juice was delicious and the view from the dining area was heavenly. Being with Jackie was like visiting an old friend, We only wished we could have stayed longer but look forward to visiting again.

This is our third time staying at Shane Acres Country Inn. It is always so homey and comfortable. Jackie and Richard are exceptional people AND excellent cooks! The beds are very relaxing and the views are beautiful. Hearing and seeing the cranes is a fun bonus. We stayed 4 nights but would have liked one more day to spend outside. We definitely want to return!

This is the kind of place I almost hesitate to review because I don’t want the secret to get out! While many places use “we make you feel at home” as a tag line, here they literally do. The hospitality was warm and genuine, the room and bed were comfortable, the grounds were beautiful, and Jackie’s full breakfast (served at 6am, allowing me to get to prime bird-watching at Horicon Marsh) set me up for the day! This may not be the fanciest B&B I’ve stayed in, but I’ve never felt more welcomed.

This place is such a gem! I stumbled on it almost accidentally looking for a place to crash at a midway place on my trip. The grounds are gorgeous--and quiet and so peaceful. The room was clean, large and bright. The breakfast was hearty. And best of all, the host and hostess are wonderful people. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get off the beaten path and rest deeply in the beauty of creation. Matt Woodley
