I didn't actually stay in this hotel because I canceled my reservation before it got to that point due to the general manager being extremely rude and YELLING at me on the phone because I had asked for my out-of-town guest's name to show up on the reservation confirmation. The receptionist who I made the booking through said she was going to email me two reservation confirmations, one with my name and one with my out-of-town's guest's name, but when I got the confirmations, they both had my name on them. When I called up to see if I could get my out-of-town guest's name to show up on the reservation, the general manager started yelling at me by saying: "MA'AM THAT IS NOT OUR POLICY!" and when I asked why she was yelling at me instead of the receptionist who provided the incorrect information, she just started yelling at me more; she said there had not been a woman on duty that morning, she had no way of checking who had made my reservation, and she didn't even know if I had made a reservation at that hotel (even though she had pulled it up on her computer with my reservation number and the confirmation clearly had the hotel's address on it). I didn't understand why she was yelling at me as if I had done something wrong and I most certainly wasn't going to let my out-of-town guest be on the receiving end of her filthy mood and unprofessional behavior, so I canceled the reservation.

We left late to start heading home and only got as far as Clinton, South Carolina. I am one who always reads reviews before choosing any hotel, but it was late (around 8 pm) and my husband made the decision to get off at this particular exit. Melody at the counter was such a wonderful, nice woman and it was a pleasure talking with her!! There were evidently only handicap accessible rooms left but it turned out the one given to us had unknowingly not been cleaned that day as it should have been. Going back to the desk I was thinking we had to get on the road again but there were no reservations, and another similar room was available, so we accepted it. It was comfortable and suited the purpose. They also have the free breakfast as most Hamptons do and it was good of course. And the food prep person was very nice also!

Overall, the hotel is clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was aloof and borderline rude, as we had to wait a full twenty minutes to be assigned a room and receive our keys, eventhough my wife and I had a fully paid reservation. No apologies, no smiles, no proper explanation… Breakfast is very basic; no fruits except for long « past-due » bananas. We do not intend to use this particular hotel in the future.

Stayed here one night for a work trip. Not terribly bad but my allergies were not happy with the dusty carpet. Bathroom was clean and had decent water pressure. Bed was comfortable. Did not try the breakfast. Had plenty of seating downstairs.

Wish I could give this hotel 0 stars. Rooms were disgusting - blood stains on sheets, dirt on pillows and in comforter, hundreds and hundreds of dead bugs all over the floor. Housekeeping "left for the day" by 3pm, which meant they couldn't clean the rooms. Which by the way, I've never heard of housekeeping leaving for the day, especially in a large sized hotel. Front desk lady, Melody was extremely rude and not helpful whatsoever. We were also yelled at for taking the cookies they give at check-in. Just confused why you're so worried about the cookies, when the rooms are in constant filth. Definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel....straight up gross.

I use Hampton as a go to hotel several times a year. This one had the usual, good features, such as a good size room, work desk in the room, business center, nice gym, good breakfast. This one was a bit hard to find because you could see it from the highway, but there was no clear sign of how to get to it as it was behind multiple other businesses. A couple of signs woul go a long way. It also had a housekeeping issue as one of the beds had a decent size blood stain and bug carcasses under the sheets, the other bed was made of sheets that were at least one size too small.

The best thing about this property is that Fatz Cafe is one minute across the parking lot. Basic clean Hampton Inn. Front desk was friendly. Decent breakfast offerings, although seating might be limited. A little high in price. Easy access from I-26.
