Comfort Inn

Booked a double room with 2 double beds for 4 people. Plenty of space in the room, nice bathroom, and comfy beds. Only complaint was the cleanliness of the room. We checked in around 7 PM, far past the beginning of check-in, meaning plenty of time to complete the room cleans. Almost all surfaces had a film of spots from cleaning spray being sprayed but not wiped. Found a child's juice bottle (16 ounces, so not small and easy to miss) behind the bedside table. A lot of the wall surfaces and especially the creases of walls, baseboards, and mirrors need to be re-painted or re-caulked over the scratches, cracks, peels, etc. Overall, a decent stay for the one night we were in town.

The 2 gals at front desk were very nice and the only pleasant thing about our stay. When we went to our room, the door was open. The latch was over so the door wouldn't lock behind you, so why was our room unlocked? Guys hanging out in the parking lot and walkway areas. A bit creepy and loud for hours into the night. The room smelled like incense. It was nauseating. It never got better. The room needs a good cleaning. I am attaching a photo of the tub. The gal at check in said it was a suite! HAHAHA! The jacuzzi tub was so disgusting that my husband would not shower. I did, very quickly. High step up and down without any handles or bars. A liability I would say. We were too tired to leave. Oh, plus, we used Choice Hotel points for that horrible place. What a waste. So we will NEVER stay there again. It was a decent place to stay when it was a Comfort Inn. The guy at check out seemed bothered that I brought the keys to the desk. He keep asking about our security deposit. I told him we better not be charged a thing since we didn't use anything or even get coffee. We didn't eat breakfast. We couldn't wait to leave. He was so aggravating and I could not understand what he was talking about. I just walked out of the lobby. I can not understand the 5 star reviews, Probably family or friends reviewing. Awful experience.

Awesome staff! Very clean and hospitable. Breakfast is always great! Just a very home like experience. Very courteous to our requests, I have a terminally ill daughter and have do not disturb on the door, so they call to see if we need anything. Love the employees here!

Pros: 1) clean place 2) relatively friendly staff Cons: 1) The elevators have had a nauseating smell of what I imagine to be highly scented, floral cleaning fluid. It will knock you down! Extremely off putting!! I've had to stay here 4 times and it's the same every time. The elevators floors are also usually sticky. 2) Rooms here are not refreshed unless you request it 24 hours in advance BUT you may not know you need your room refreshed 24 hours in advance. The result can be an overflowing trash can and dirty towels. 3) One morning, the hotel water was shut off just as I was getting into the shower. The staff knew in advance they were going to cut off the water but they failed to notify the guest. Very inconsiderate. 4) When we checked in, we received one small water bottle and there were two of us. These are first-world problems and probably not worth mentioning but the elevator smell may be enough to make me change hotels. Makes you wonder what they're trying to cover up.

I stayed in room 209 on 1/11. I woke up at midnight feeling something crawling on my neck. I brushed it off and turned on light to see a little ”beetle”. I pulled back covers to find a total of 6 on my pillow and sheets! I felt sick knowing what they must be. I immediately called the front desk and told them to come upstairs. I slid the mattress away from the headboard to discover a full INFESTATION of bed bugs on the bed skirt in all sizes and life stages! By the time the desk clerk got to my room I was grabbing my stuff to leave. She offered me another room and I declined. I immediately put all my belongings in trash bags that she provided to me and told her I expect a refund. She told me the manager would call in the morning. At 1pm on 1/12 no one had reached out to me so I called and was told the manager was in a meeting. At around 4pm I received a phone call and apology for ”you having to move to another hotel in the middle of the night” from the assistant manager. He said pest control was coming the next day to investigate and he would ”keep me updated.” I asked him if he went to my room and he said, ”Yes, but I can't tell what I'm looking at.” I said YOU'RE LOOKING AT BED BUGS! I then told him I was really surprised the manager didn't call me for something as serious as this and he said, ”I can ask the manager to call you if you'd like.” I told him NO I shouldn't have to ask for that phone call. I still haven't received an update on their findings, eventhough there is no mistaking what is in these pictures. Also, I thought I got off lucky with only 1 bite on my face that night. NOPE! 5 days later 11 itchy bites have shown up on my neck, right arm, and right breast. I was really scared that even after washing and drying everything straight from the sealed bags, I had brought some home until I googled and found out bites can take from a few days to 2 weeks to appear. I'll never get over the feelings of filth and disgust waking up to bugs crawling all over you and feeding off of you! It's sickening. I have included all the pictures but I know it can sometimes take a lot longer for them to be approved.
