Silver Sands Motel

Although they are family owned and friendly. They own three hotels and not one pool is clean! Silver Sands, Beachhouse and Sands Point Resort. We booked a month and every time I asked about the pools, their response was the pool guy isn’t responding. Today it was they are coming when I offered to put shock in the pool, then it was the pumps are broken. I asked to leave early, her response was no. I found garbage under the beds and couches. The A/C barely cools the room. There is mold in the bathroom around the shower, you can tell the shower floor has never been scrubbed. Decorations taped up around the kitchen area hiding imperfections or damage. There is duck tape in the fridge. No smoke detectors, just a hole in the roof. Said we could use the grill, it had caked on food from whoever used it last. Apparently their washers and dryers are broken so they allowed me to do a load in their personal ones for $7. The trash is always overflowing. The view from my patio is a roof top with junk on it. Don’t try to use the fire pit because the propane isn’t connected properly. The friendly cozy feel is nothing in comparison to how I feel with her refusing to refund any portion of what I paid, especially after I brought this to her attention. I’ve been here 3 days of the month I booked, that’s plenty of time to get someone else. I am a single mom and this act by another single mom is disgusting! My kids can’t swim, they have to be quiet as to not disturb the guests downstairs. Respectfully, this is wrong.

Been coming here for years. Beautiful place close to the beach. Great prices and staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place close to the beach with great atmosphere this is where you want to be.

This place is a 1952 era dumpsite of trash, both human and habitation are unfit for this decade, or any for that matter. It simply is unfit for human occupation. With mold growing everywhere, AC filters clogged by decades of dust, no way to close the bathroom door, no fan in the bathroom, flooding courtyard,noisy neighbors, and a manager that has nothing to offer but excuses and promises that are just lies. Stay away if you value your health or sanity. The owner owns three places and the two pools I visited were not circulating and had no cleaning schedule or chemicals and were coated with scum. How does the health department allow it to stay in business?

Very old run down motel worst on the beach room was dirty smelly and the bed frame was broken the towels and bedding was quality you would find in a dollar store bedding and towels were ripped stained the shower and ac unit had mold you could smell mold when the ac was on the pool was small and always dirty i saw cleaning guy come once a week to clean should be cleaned daily fridge was old rusty housekeeping came once every two weeks and with covid rooms should be cleaned daily very unsanitary place is loud at nite people sitting outside drinking arguing playing loud music till 3 am place is rampit with ************ 2 ladies constantly had men in and out of their rooms all the furniture looks like its been there since the place has been built seen several huge roaches Manager takes hours to text back

I booked this last-minute and had a wonderful time. I ended up staying almost 2 weeks with my family and my kids loved it! The room was clean and very beachy all the way through. It also had a full kitchen so I was able to cook entire dinners with ease!

My family and I had a great experience overall at this location. Clean rooms, affordable, friendly and accommodating staff, and wonderful location within walking distance of the beach. Will come again!

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and had a great time. The staff was very friendly and made sure all of our needs were satisfied to ensure our stay was comfortable and worthwhile. Thank you to the staff at silver sands for helping to make a weekend one that is never to be forgotten.

The room was dirty. I took time off of work and paid airfare to go to my cousins wedding. I flushed the toilet in my room and walked out and put my makeup on. When I turned around to leave the room I couldn’t because it was flooded to the point I was stranded. I had to jump on the bed on to the couch and drop a big pillow on the floor to get out. I text owner and she said a plumber will be there in 30 mins. I told her I was stuck in the room I was going to be late for my cousins wedding I need lots of towels. She replied again a plumber will be there in 30 mins. A plumber never came and by the time I was able to get all my stuff out including my stuff that was sitting soaking in the toilet water I missed the wedding. I asked if she could credit me back my money. She said no because she put me in another room and that her plumber told her the flood happed because I flushed the toilet improperly. I asked how does one flush a toilet improperly? She did not answer me. She said I can use her washing machine to clean my soaking toilet water stuff but I have to wait until Monday when the cleaning lady comes, which means my dirty toilet water clothes has to stay like that from sat evening until Monday. She did say she will give me 1 night free but I have not seen the credit back. I was not happy about this. No apology for this happening, until I texted her and pointed that out to her.

*I also put this review on GOOGLE* Worst motel on the beach. I had the absolute misfortune of staying here 12/17-12/20. In retrospect, I would not have stayed here if I was paid, let alone the $335 it cost for the weekend. A lot of people will say "well you get what you pay for". I wish that was the case. One can minimally assume clean bedding, clean restroom, clean kitchen etc... This room (room 4) was FILTHY. I thought I was on a hidden camera show and my reaction was going to be featured on some new hit tv special. There was what I believed to be blood on the comforter. My first trip after checking in was to Wal-Mart where I bought Lysol. Febreze, sheets, pillows, pillow cases, and a blanket. The person who I was staying with, who's room the name was under, did not want to make a "big deal" about anything since they have stayed there before so that is why I "toughed" it out. I would have been better off staying on the sands of Clearwater Beach. The shower head was so calcified and rusty and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. The TV remote was caked in some sort of grossness. The A/C did blow cold, but looking through the vents and seeing the suspected mold made me not want to use it. The refrigerator was covered in rust and the door jams were filled with crumbs. For some reason, there was a toaster and coffee pot in the kitchen that looked like they had not been cleaned since the Obama administration. This was pathetic. Have some pride in your establishment, I have no idea how this is acceptable. Your featured pictures are so staged. I see that you respond to everything to so let's see what you have to say about this. Face the music.
