Stayed at Rosemead Guest House for one night. On arrival we were sent on a small treasure hunt to find our key. The owner had sellotaped a named envelope to the back door which led us to another, hidden under a tray, which contained our room key. We entered by the side door and walked into a very dated kitchen, up some stairs with an extremely worn carpet, which could actually be dangerous, and along the tired looking landing to our room. We were almost scared to open the door! As expected the room was dated and in bad need of renovation. It was however clean and the bed linen was spotless. The shower cubicle was plastic and there was no power to the shower. We slept well. Charles the owner greeted us at breakfast, a lovely friendly man. Our cooked breakfasts were very nice and served hot. I feel I could not really recommend this place due to the dated appearance and worn out dirty carpets.
