Recently stayed at the Clare Country Club. My young family really enjoyed our stay there. The rooms have recently been upgraded and they were a surprising delight. Had happy hour at the main bar and dinner. Thankyou for a great stay, Steve and the team for looking after us, couldn’t fault the service

We had booked the studio room for 2 nights..$489.00..it was definately not worth the money..walls were dirty, the toilet was not cleaned properly..and tea, coffee, sugar not replenished…the outlook when curtains pulled back were 4 septic tanks…Never again..we have stayed before and enjoyed it…but has been taken over ..

Booked in for a special occasion but sadly the restaurant is closed on Sundays. The delightful receptionist made recommendations for alternative dining options and even sent us to our room with a gift. Rooms are modern and spacious although ground floor not that private in places. King bed was soft and luxurious. Lounge chairs, table & chairs and an enormous bath. Breakfast included in the fare was a lovely fresh buffet and the scrambled eggs perfect. Would highly recommend for a romantic getaway.

Stayed 1 night. Reception was helpful. The room was nice & newly renovated but there was only 1 towel for 2 people. No bathmat or hand towel. I rang reception & they delivered the extra towel but there was no apology. Also the power point in the bathroom is a distance from the basin so makes it difficult to blow dry hair or have a shave. T V did not work properly. Disappointing for a newly renovated room.

LOCATION Outskirts of the town, central to the wine region. ROOM We had a Superior room with a King-sized bed. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and an iron and ironing board. FACILITIES We used the guest laundry, which was free as both machines were broken! The restaurant has a nice view out across the grounds to the lake. The meal was adequate, but nothing special.

Once again, a fantastic stay. This place is worth the extra few dollars. Rooms are clean and oh so comfortable. The bathrooms are huge and the shower is spot on. The staff super friendly. Was hoping to book again for Easter 2025, but had an awful experience at the Clare Valley Racing Club and it is doubtful that we will visit Clare again because of that.

Wow, how good are the rooms! I haven't stayed since they've renovated and I've gotta say I'm super impressed. The rooms are fantastic, the beds are so comfortable and I love the bathroom style and the fluffy towels. The wifi speed and reliability has definitely improved which was very handy for some Netflix and Zoom meetings. The staff are still on point, it feels like nothing is ever too much trouble. The bar is still a great spot for a pre dinner drink with lots of local wines to choose from. Will be very happy to stay again!

The service at the Clare Country Club was a major disappointment. Apart from being charged an exorbitant $15 for a drink that was repeatedly cleared from the table prematurely, they also exhibited a lack of respect for a private function by interrupting speeches. The staff's initial attitude upon our arrival further soured the experience. On top of these issues, my dietary requirements, which were pre-ordered, were consistently mishandled. Receiving the wrong food multiple times was not just an oversight but a blatant disregard for a basic customer need. This negligence is completely unacceptable, especially when it comes to something as crucial as dietary preferences or restrictions. The continual frustration of being served incorrect meals compounded the already poor service, highlighting a severe lack of attention to detail and customer care. Considering the combined mishaps and the disregard for customer needs, I cannot, in good faith, consider returning to the Clare Country Club. Their failure to accurately fulfil basic pre-orders, alongside the disrespectful attitude and inadequate service, indicates a fundamental flaw in their approach to customer satisfaction.
