Inn of Clanton

I selected this property based on its Trip Advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. We only needed a place for one night and the Inn of Clanton fit the bill. The room was clean and had everything we needed for showering and a night’s sleep. Granted, it doesn’t look like one of the national chains, but I would have no problem staying here again. The Desk Clerks were friendly and provided a quick and easy check in and out.

Friendly helpful staff. Updated cold dark room. Brand new mini fridge, microwave but small tv. Super comfortable beds. We would have slept until check out but per their policy we had to check out to get our Shoneys breakfast vouchers and they have to be used by 10am-check out time. My least favorite part-Not relaxing to get free breakfast with those requirements.

I was welcomed by a warm smile and helpful manager. She heard my requests and out me in a great room with a good bed! The room has been updated, and is basic, but I prefer a better price, good bed and clean room when traveling through. The bonus is the free Shoney Breakfast Buffet coupon! I recommend this place and will stay here again.

One of the worst hotel condition experiences ever. One of the best hotel staff experiences. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, and the room had technically been cleaned, but the physical condition of my room was very poor. Ask for a room that has been updated. You'll thank me later. I tend to be suspicious when a hotel leaves the AC running so it's really cold in the room. I had to look for something on the floor and while I was down there, I noticed the awful musty stink from the old carpet. Even walking around in my socks, they became damp from the moist carpet. Later, I tried to wipe up a small amount of body powder that went on the carpet and the rag turned brown. It was as if there is mud embedded in the carpet. Eeeeew! Obviously, the carpet in that particular room was in desperate need of replacement. There were sounds of remodeling going on in the adjacent room, and I hoped this room would be next. On the positive side, there is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool and the grounds are well maintained. For the price, it was nice to get their breakfast buffet voucher at the restaurant next door.

This is a great hotel located just off I-65. the registration staff, room service personnel are friendly, professional and very knowledgeable of Clanton and the area. The Inn of Clanton is THE hotel we stay when visiting the area. I recommend you make reservations early as this is a very busy area during various parts of the year. The grounds are kept immaculate. Our room is clean, welcoming and up-to-date. We enjoy walking to Shoney's next door for their breakfast buffet. We highly recommend the Inn of Clanton!!!

The motel is conveniently located just off the interstate. They are in the process of update each unit, we were one of the lucky ones, our room had recently been completed. It's a charming motel, Diane was a pleasure checking us in. We like to play cards at night but there was no small table in the room, she did offer us a skinny conference table to take to our rooms. They do not serve breakfast but give you a voucher for a free breakfast next door at Shoney's. I will definitely plan a stay on my next trip south.

We were quite happy with Inn of Clanton, Clanton, KY. The room was very clean, the people at the desk were pleasant and patient. We had booked a reservation through ******* about 3 hours before our arrival over the phone. The person taking the call was difficult to understand due to a heavy Asian accent. Not their fault, but I have poor hearing and have trouble with accents in general. Apparently she had trouble understanding me as well. I was put on hold 3 times, long holds, then had to repeat myself a lot and the whole transaction took 20 minutes for something that shouldn't have taken more than 10. When we arrived, they had no reservation. I was exasperated and just wanted a room but they insisted they had to find the reservation because they would owe a commission. It was finally concluded that the reservation didn't go through. I'm afraid I wasn't as pleasant as I could have been. But they were good. As I said, the room was very clean, pleasant, comfortable beds. The Inn is next to a Shoney's restaurant that we went to for a good evening meal. The Inn provides guests with a breakfast voucher that you get at check out for a breakfast buffet at Shoney's that was great. Much better than any breakfast we've gotten at other hotels. If I'm going through there again, I would make it a point to stay there.

After staying for 2 weeks in a shabby, outdated, King room... extending my stay for work. They refused to give me my voucher for the shoneys breakfast on the morning I was leaving. I had yet to use one throughout my stay as I left early for work, although desk clerks would remind me of the breakfast vouchers when I would book another day or two.

A comfortable, clean establishment with very friendly & delightful people. The price was right too. The free breakfast at Shoney’s was amazing - a full hot buffet. Staff here was amazingly attentive. We had stopped to break up a long drive.
