We went on an ATV tour to this hot spring. Had a fantastic day time with our kids. Even on a Saturday, it wasn’t too busy and we had personal space to relax. Great up keep with the pools and fun shakes for the kids. Lots of options depending on the heat that you want. This is a place that doesn’t make the top ten but is exactly the place I have in my mind when I think Costa Rica hot springs.

Before the pandemic, this used to be my favorite place in all of Costa Rica to rest and relax for a day in wonderful hot springs… It's a shame that the effects of the pandemic on tourism businesses are still so strong: now this place is terrible, The infrastructure is not properly maintained, the bathrooms do not work, the locker rooms are damaged and dirty, the lighting does not work, etc. I hope that one day this place will return to the wonderful place it was before the pandemic. Also the food in the restaurant is of very low quality, I couldn't eat my lunch. I accept that the price for entering for a day (without accommodation) is VERY cheap, but I would prefer to have to pay more and have more appropriate facilities and better quality food.

We were at the hot springs and had a great time. The man from the cafeteria showed us everything perfectly, told us very interesting things and we felt at home. A very quiet place away from everything touristy. A place with a lot of magic, highly recommended.

Excellent food! It is a beautiful place and the treatment is very friendly and pleasant. I recommend using volcanic clay for your face, it is very good for your skin. Excellent hot springs. I only recommend a little more maintenance to the facilities but everything is perfect!

The hot springs were a wonderful and relaxing experience! The location of the springs is reached by a path through the forest. It’s like walking through the jungle and at the end reaching a glorious area of hot spring pools in which to relax. There’s a very rustic changing area and lockers, but also a bar with food. It was a hidden gem! I highly recommend it!

Electricity service in the hot springs / forest is included until 9:30 pm. If you are in the forest around that time they turn off the light and you are completely dark in the middle of the forest, where only a bulb or two can shine on you. They do not distinguish or discriminate if it is a rainy day with dangerous animals to turn off the lights when leaving after the mentioned time, along a path of around 300m, a total risk to attend this hotel. Caution.

The Termales del Bosque place is abandoned, maintenance is minimal, it seems that in the past it was a good hotel but not now. The breakfast in general was bad, the fruits were stale with a bad taste and the typical style breakfast I wouldn't wish on anyone. The pinto tasted horrible and the rice was hard, the "ripe" banana was green and the egg was made on some frying pan on which something else had already been prepared. The place has potential for an investor who wants to restore, but for now it should be closed to the public.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Since we arrived, the treatment at the reception was terrible. The receptionist did not know how to respectfully answer the different questions we asked him. At the hot springs bar they didn't give a price and then they charged us more than what they told us at the beginning and they told us that it wasn't their problem. They charged for the 'courtesy' cocktail. At the exit we went to make a formal complaint but they did nothing because there were only the two receptionists who clearly cannot do anything. There was a smell of rotten food in the bar and it was very difficult to be around. A week and a half later and he makes an excuse to resolve the problem of the extra charge. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
