Find the Cheap Oldsmar Hotels

The HGI Oldsmar is one of my favorite hotels to stay at. They just got renovated and everything is brand new and beautiful. The location is awesome, not far from the airport and a bunch of really good restaurants are within a 2 minute drive and a few you can even walk to. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and they have a delicious breakfast.

I chose this hotel because I've stayed at Courtyards before and wanted that experience. I was a bit disappointed that the hotel was undergoing a major remodeling, and the elements of this brand were not there, yet the hotel was charging full rate (~$250 per night). While I'd have to say the staff members were very nice, as well as our room, the entire sitting area downstairs was entirely boarded up, the workout room was unavailable, and the breakfast area only had a very limited menu of pre-made items. The price of a stay should have been much less since their normal amenities weren't available.

We have stayed at this property many times. This time there was construction ongoing for our entire stay of six nights, including days with no water. I would think that should have been disclosed PRIOR to checking in so we could have had the option of staying elsewhere. Our room was on the third floor, the construction was on the second floor. Every morning banging, three days with the water shut off mid afternoon. And the construction vehicles took up rows of overnight parking, which left your guests trying to find a spot and walking long distances at night. I would expect more from Marriott, the very least a prior notification so it wouldn't have been a surprise on our vacation, and a discount on the room which was not as expected. The breakfast offerings are minimal, not what they were. Instant oatmeal, no fresh fruit other than bananas, no waffle station. Packaged items and instant eggs ... Our room was clean, as was the lobby and breakfast area. The hallways and stairs had not been vacuumed the entire week of our stay.

Family of four, including kids, stayed 7 nights. We had visited a few hotels in the area and this one was the cleanest, staff was very polite and helpful, and they provided hot breakfast to-go every morning. Nancy, Estela, and Betty at the breakfast stand were exceptional.

My sons, husband and I traveled down to the area for a family vacation and chose this hotel initially for the benefits of Hampton Inns, breakfast and free parking. From the time we arrived I was very impressed. Our check in was very quick. Sammie was working the front desk nearly every evening during our stay and was more than accommodating. Everything we needed she made happen including assisting with internet issues on our TV and getting us pool towels even though they were out and didn't have many available. The breakfast attendants each morning have been excellent. I work at a hotel and wish I could bring them back woth me to work for our Hampton Inn. Not sure on names but one from London and the other with darker hair were just friendly, well accommodating and went above and beyond to not just keep breakfast full and clean but to talk to the guests eating. I seen the one from London handle a very rude guests with ease and politeness. I am impressed! The pool area actually had a working hot tub. Super rare in nearly every other state and the area was clean and well kept. My sons had a blast and we will definitely return here each time we are in the area. Perhaps when I move next year might just apply!

While researching hotels, I visited this property a month before my arrival to make sure the accommodation would work for my purposes. At that time, I was shown a specific layout for the 1 bedroom queen beds configuration. The front desk attendant specified the description of the room that I should book when I made the reservation. I made the reservation based on their information and the room I was shown. A month later when I check in, I am given a room half the size of the one I was shown. I tell the front desk that it was not what I was told and I am unhappy with the room and I need the bigger room. The gas let me and told me that they had already given me the biggest room they had. I'm not kidding when it was literally half the size of the one I previewed. I walked the front desk attendance to the door of the room I was shown and was assured that those rooms are the same size and they couldn't be shown to me at that time because they were occupied. I had to cancel most of the event I had planned due to lack of space and lost revenue I would have earned giving a workshop to paying pupils. Complete bait and switch. Avoid this property.

Lovely resort but management has REAL issues with having there cleaning staff properly clean and disinfect the rooms. I took pictures to show the cleaning staff didn’t even wipe down or disinfect the desk in my room. The last guest’s bill (with all of there personal information) was left on the desk from the previous guest. If they didn’t even sanitize the desk, you can’t help but wonder what else wasn’t properly cleaned. This is unaccrptable during a pandemic. Also NO toilet paper was in the bathroom. Of course you do not realize it until you need it. For the price of this resort you expect a clean from and toilet paper.
