Find the Cheap New Hartford Hotels

The hotel was extremely nice And very clean. We had a queen suite and it was very spacious with a separate bedroom, kitchen and living room area. The bed was very comfortable . We were able to sign into the Netflix app on the tv which was convenient. The shower head was solid with lots of water pressure. The area was nice and quiet. I would definitely book this hotel in the future when visiting the Utica area again. Downtown Utica is about 10 minutes away while downtown New Hartford is about 2-3 miles away which gives you access to many restaurants choices.

This hotel wins many Hilton Hotel awards, and for good reason. The hotel is well managed, it's clean, and it's comfortable. I've stayed at this hotel 100+ nights in the past year and it's never disappointed me. I love the location -- it's on the edge of New Hartford, so it's just blocks from restaurants and shopping. But it's also adjacent to open wooded areas, so you can walk and relax listening to the forest (which I do often). The Hotel has all the normal amenities of a Homewood Suites (kitchen with full size fridge, ceiling fans over the bed, large spaces, etc.), so it's a great hotel for long or short term stays. But it's the staff that separates this hotel all the others in the area. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Talk to Domenica at the front desk and you'll see what I mean.

I booked 2 rooms at this property (Quality Inn and Suites, New Hartford) via ******* for Oct. 11-13th. We were going to New Hartford for a family reunion. I also recommended others in my family to book there. In total we booked 5 rooms at the property. It is a 3 star property, and we knew that going in. What I didn’t expect was the terrible service and attitude from the staff especially from Vimal Patel. We checked in as per usual. Had a comfortable overnight sleep. I noticed in the washroom there was a sign that said, if we wanted the towels changed, to drop them on the floor and new ones will be left. This signage indicated to me that someone will be entering our room at some point to clean the room, and if they noticed the towels on the floor, they would change it. The signage that we hang on the door asking for housekeeping or do not disturb, stated “do not disturb on both sides”. So I did not hang it outside the door so that the cleaners could enter and clean the room. As we headed out for the morning, I noticed 2 cleaners outside in the hallway. I went and spoke to them and said, when they are cleaning our room, I would like 2 extra towels left. English language seemed to be a barrier to them as they spoke back to me in another language. So, I went to the lady at the front desk and told her that I had requested extra towels from the cleaners when they were cleaning my room, and could she please ensure that they do that. She said ok. When I came back to the room around 2:30 p.m., I saw that the towels had been replaced but not the bath rug and the bed was not made nor the room tidied. Hence, I called the front desk to ask why the room had not been cleaned. I spoke to Vimal Patel. He said in order to have the room cleaned, I should have called the front desk per the notice in the room. I asked what notice and why didn’t they inform of us of this upon check in. This notice I subsequently found is a small one under the TV). Also, I had spoken to the cleaners personally and the lady at the front desk about extra towels when they go to clean the room. He said it was “the law” that they don’t clean rooms unless we call the front desk (I guess speaking to cleaners and front desk does not count.) I asked if I could get a printed copy of “the law”, he got hysterical and started berating me. He then said, if I didn’t like it, I could leave and he would refund the money. I told him I wasn’t going to leave (there were 5 rooms that my family members were occupying while we were in the town and I didn’t want to further inconvenience myself.) however, I would deal with this matter when my stay was over. When we checked out the following morning, I asked for Vimal Patel (Owner/manager I presume) to tell him face to face that I had been unhappy with the level of service, especially from senior management. We stayed for just one night on our road trip from Michigan to Maine. Family of 4 and our Weimaraner. The two working the desk (man & woman) were so personable and helpful when I was checking us in. I’m late in getting this review in so unfortunately I can’t remember their names, but I just want to say that these two were truly great. Having our pup with us, they were sure to put us on the ground floor and near an outside door. That may not seem like a huge deal, but traveling with a dog, it makes a difference! Our room was clean and spacious, pool area was nice and the family loved the breakfast buffet. We will definitely choose a (Burrstone Inn) Ascend Hotel again.

My only hopes for this hotel would that it would be clean and comfortable for a quick overnight stay. It was a GREAT stay! The front desk staff was really caring, upbeat, helpful and nice - I will even venture to say they are some of the best hospitality staff members I've encountered in a long time. They went out of their way to provide us with some random requests (a bag of ice, rollaway bed) and even called ahead of time to confirm my room preference. They really treated us like valued guests. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, but kids did use the pool, which was nice. Hotel is close to restaurants/bars (very easy walking distance - Griffin's Pub is a stone's throw and Swifty's, Ocean Blue & Ancora are not much farther) and we could see the Saranac Brewery from our room window. Parking garage seemed adequate. Didn't utilize restaurant or bar in the hotel, but the area looked nice. Doordash options are also available for late-night eats! Thanks for a great stay!

The hotel recommended by the customer is an old building that has been around for a hundred years. The location is in the heart of Utica town, from the train station, about 10 minutes. All aspects are good, after all, is the Hilton brand. The only thing I don't understand is that when booking, there are remarks to try to arrange rooms on high floors. The hotel seems to pay less attention to Ctrip's orders. Although the hotel occupancy rate is not high, the optional room should be a lot, but it is still arranged on the fourth floor, and the room is close to the road, it is noisy.

This hotel does a decent job of delivering what you expect when staying at a Fairfield. The rooms are clean and sharp, everything looks fairly new, the bed is comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning is just fine for a hotel buffet, though lacks the option range that some have and is not fully replenished throughout the service period. I appreciated that the TV in our room supported streaming (you can login to your Netflix service / etc) -- we used that. I wish that it was more common for a hotel like this to use actual reusable plates/silverware for the breakfast rather than everything throwaway. The breakfast was supposed to be available until 10am, but the staff started packing it up around 9:45. When my girlfriend tried to get breakfast around 9:50, the staff were able to bring a few things back out of the kitchen for her -- but really, if a breakfast will be packed up starting at 9:45, list that as the end time rather than 10am. Checkout time is noon. The housekeeping staff knocked first around 9am (while we were still in bed), then again around 10:30am to see if we had left yet so they could clean. Since we were not checked out of the room yet, this felt a bit like being rushed out. I always prefer it when the housekeeping crew either waits until checkout time or starts first on the rooms where guests have checked out early, so I'm not woken up. I understand that staffing shortages likely make this kind of coordination hard. These are minor issues in the scheme of things. Overall a solidly decent night and a hotel I wouldn't hesitate to stay at again if I was in the area, though probably wouldn't prioritize over other options either.
