I don't know if it is just the reason for the start of school. The rooms in the university town are very high in the past two days. I have used nearly 3,000 for two days. In terms of its room and geographical location, the price is not high.
Staff were friendly. Room and amenities were clean, check-in/check-out was quick. I was in town for the National Autism Conference, so we experience the events team at work as well. The service for snacks and lunch was great, bathrooms were clean, hotel staff helpful, and technology team were incredible. Great experience!
We came to State College for a ski event at Tussey Mountain. Our team dealt with the sales department at this hotel to set up a group rate. They are accommodating and very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and the price was fair for what you pay for. Our group had a great stay due to many different factors. First and foremost, the staff was a blessing. We dealt with Michael & Christine the most. Our team was causing some trouble in the hallways, and Michael handled it perfectly. Once we were made aware we took care of it. It made our team look bad. He was very understanding and we appreciate that. He refused to let us clean up our mess. He took care of it without hesitation. Christine started breakfast early just for our group. That was very thoughtful. It was very good for hotel breakfast. We will definitely stay there again next year.

Staying at the Hilton Hotel will not be disappointing, very close to the state university, the room is clean and comfortable, the front desk staff is warm and patient, if the price is free breakfast is more perfect.
I like the fact that the laundry room was open 24/7, and it was very available, especially late night
I also like the size of the room, yet I wonder will it be possible to change the location of where the mirror is to another spot (for the 2 queen size room), so as not to be so weird to sit and be staring at oneself from the bed (though I didn't end up sleeping on that side)
Grateful for the presence of notepads, even though I didn't end up using it, and I appreciate the location of the hotel- offering a wonderful, relaxing nature view from the hotel room
International students studying at penn state university stayed for a few nights before staying in the apartment. The breakfast is quite good, it is very convenient directly downstairs, and the taste is OK. The location of the hotel is a bit far from going to the penn state university. The bus may take 18 minutes, only the p line can be reached, and the waiting time is longer. Walking directly may take a little longer, and it is recommended to have a lot if you have a car. There are many restaurants and markets around, very convenient. There is a large parking lot in front of the door. The normal facilities inside the room, equipped with a microwave refrigerator, quiet at night.
I just stayed for 2 nights during PSU orientation. I liked that I could be on the campus in about 6 minutes which I think was closer than the Springhill I stayed in the last time. The room was good and the bed was comfy. I am not a fan of tub showers, but they made up for it by have miniature shampoos etc and not those gross 'environmental' bug pump ones that gross me out. One negative was the first morning with ”Do not disturb” on the door, we were woken up by housekeeping because she was doing inventory and wanted to know if we had a microwave in the room. I was not happy at all, and after I told her so, as she was walking away she called me rude ( I wasn't). But outside of that incident I was happy with my stay.
Need to have the ice machines serviced so a guest doesn’t have to walk the hole way around the building and then be told to go find another one and it didn’t work and if that was didn’t go up the stairs and there is another one there and it didn’t work so we had to walk the hole way around the building again on the second floor to find one ice machine that worked. Then while walking all the way around the stairs outside to go to the ground floor and parking lot were closed (Saftey Issue if there was a fire). The service desk employees were very polite.
Such a NICE hotel! It was so clean. The beds were comfortable. The front desk staff was super friendly. It was great having an outdoor pool with chaises and tables with umbrellas. A couple of drawbacks-the closet is so small i can’t imagine having to hang anything. The room was so spacious it seems they could have made a larger closet. The restaurant was not great. Not terrible but one meal there was enough for the whole stay. And there is literally nothing nearby. The proximity to Penn State was great though.
