We were pleasantly surprised with our room. It looked like it had been recently renovated. Our room was very big and had lots of great features such as a full size fridge, kitchenette, table with 2 chairs, tv on a swivel so we could angle the tv to the table or the bed. The bathroom was beautiful. Great water pressure and hot water. The bed was comfortable. The wifi worked great and lots of plugs for charging electronics. Plenty of parking and always nice to have a few prime spots for Choice members. When we arrived we saw 4 large buses and expected there to be lots of noise. We heard nothing at all. It was surprisingly quiet. The rate for a Saturday night in April was reasonable. It’s always nice to be offered eggs and sausages along with the standard waffles, cereal, fruit and pastries for breakfast. It was served from 6-9 am which was great for us as we wanted to be on the road by 6:30 am. It’s about 3-4 miles from the interstate and 30 minutes to the Canadian border. There’s a Walmart just up the road. Not sure about other stores or restaurants as we just went to the hotel at night and then crossed the border in the morning. For a Quality Inn it was quite nice and we would definitely stay there again when in the area.
Absolutely horrible! Welcome to the era of covid 19 travel! With the world on lockdown not being able to go pretty much anywhere for the Fourth of July weekend 2020 ; yes it is right ! 2020 ! (I have not being able to catchup believe it or not) I decided to do whatever was possible and travel to what was available at the time without leaving my home state of New York due to travel restrictions so what better time to see something I always wanted to see; the archipelago located on the St Lawerence River at the border with Canada known as the Thousand Islands, also famous for the namesake salad dressing. It was hard to believe that amidst the plummeting travel industry at the time hotels downtown were outrageously expensive therefore I needed to search for more “budget” friendly accommodations within the area, that’s how I landed at Candlewood Suites, what a fiasco! The property is completely ran down beginning with the chairs at the front desk, although I have nothing to say or complain about the hotel staff which were very accommodating the building itself has way to many issues beginning with bugs inside the room. I had requested immediately to be moved to a different room thinking that this will resolve my problem, I was wrong! The same problem persisted Hotel staff is very attentive, cleanliness is not that impeccable but at least the staff tries to make it up for everything else the property is lacking. Hopefully a year after these factors had changed
First time booking with Priceline.Arrived in beautiful Watertown n.y Thursday.Olive garden supper excellent.Hobby lobby excellent.Time for a hotel night.Used the app Priceline for the first time. Was offered the choice of 3 hotels for a great price of 70 us plus tax.Picked Ramanda in.Well guess what,my bad should have known better.Days inn Fort drum.No biggy they advertised a good rating.Arrived seem legit however we were put in the handicap unit on ground floor,no biggy,we'll that's we're it gets interesting. No wifi both on there front computer nor on our mobile phones with there pass code.Strike 2 the bed is lifted on a box with some sort of tin box,so when you move so slightly on the bed it's like someone bangs metal.Stike 3 mold throughout base of walls and shower. And yes I have pics and yes forwarded off to there head office.Strike 4 Breakfast.Priceline advertising states hot breakfast. You guessed it my bad no milk for cereal 2 yogurts strawberry and of course packaged muffins yum yum.Guess my beef is more on Priceline commitment to help.So go figure I reached out to them via same email they confirmed my reservation,on our disappointment and you guessed it it bounced back stating they can't be reached at this time.lol Well guess we are off to Crackle Barrell for a hot breakfast. Please understand this review is for other travelers to be aware of gimmick, as they say if it's to good to be true Guess next time I will pay attention to those wise words.Do not use Price line.My rant is done sorry on spelling and grammer.Time for coffee

Booked on Priceline. Nice hotel, friendly and accommodating staff. Clean rooms. Good wifi, comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was ok, had scrambled eggs, bacon. My wife liked the oatmeal cereal as there was lots of dried nuts and seeds to add. Coffee was ok for hotel, better than most hotel coffee though I do like it stronger. Probably nicest hotel we stayed in our whole trip. I would stay again. The hotel manager Brittany was very nice and accommodating
I love the Comfort Inn in Watertown and we stay there all the time when we go. What I didn't appreciate this time for the desk clerk Mike who was not very helpful when we stated that there was something wrong with the AC in our room. For the month of May it is usually hot this year and the AC in our room (625) would work for 5 minutes then shut off. We tried numerous ways with the same results each time. Mike came up to the room and made us feel like we were bothering him with this and did exactly what we had tried saying this was what had to be done. We explained to him that we had done that several times with the same outcome. He said tried it again and if it doesn't work he would bring us a box fan or move us. Well, guess what it did the same thing and I call down to the front desk. I asked for the adjoining room as it was vacant (which it was as I confirmed in the morning) but instead he gave us a room down the hall. We have stayed at this hotel probably since it has opened and have NEVER EXPERIENCED such rude staff person. I realize that he is only one person at your facility so I will not let that affect whether or not we stay there again. We love the hotel and location is great for all we do in Watertown. Thank-you for letting me vent.
This is the stinkiest hotel I have ever experienced. It smells SO musty the moment you walk in from outside. A stale smell. An old house that hasn't been aired out in years. So maybe it was just the lobby? The room was no better, and you could not open a window to air out the smell. We found a housekeeper and asked if she had any deodorizer and was prepared (surprise surprise) and gave me a bottle of Fabreeze. We never unpacked and kept our suitcases sealed so as not to absorb the odour. When I mentioned the smell to the gal at the front desk, she shrugged it off, said she could not smell anything. Probably used to it. No apologies. Beds were comfortable. Not high that you need a boost to get into it. Only one chair in the room and that was the desk chair. Bathroom - good water pressure in the shower. Lots of towels. The free breakfast (located off the lobby) was okay. You won't walk away hungry. They had enough options of cereals, waffles, breads, muffins, yogurts, oatmeal, unpeeled hardboiled eggs. Their hot food was a chicken patty, potatoes and what appeared to be the shape of an omelet. Juice. Coffee was very good. Paper and plastic everything. It wasn't spectacular, it was adequate. Parking was good. They offered luggage carts if you needed them. Elevators were very efficient. You might think it is deserving of more than one star after my review, but honestly, that smell knocks you down as soon as you walk in. And it sets the tone for the entire stay. This hotel was in a good location off the highway and access to restaurants and shopping. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again.
