We stayed at this hotel at what must have been their busiest weekend ever due to UC Berkeley’s alumni/parents weekend. The hotel was packed but service was great. One standout moment was when we found out last minute we needed a cot in our room. At 10pm or so the night manager Izzy (I believe that was his name) was on hand to not only field every request for towels from multiple guests and deliver them himself but also deliver the cot to us. The big take away is that the manager did great but it seems like the higher ups really should have scheduled more people to assist on a night that was obviously packed at the hotel. But all in all great hotel
The location is a bit far from downtown Berkeley, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, I was surprised that the car noise was loud on the road right in front of me.
Breakfast was served in a lunch box, and if you choose the food you want, you can bring it to the room on time and eat it comfortably.
But I checked out for more than 10 days, and I didn't immediately cancel my deposit.
This place is beautiful located right on the water on the other side of the San Francisco bay. Not only is there a beautiful view of the city. But you can also see the Bay bridge and the Golden gate bridge very clearly. The hotel itself has been updated It was very clean, our room was comfortable and it is affordable. I would recommend a room with a view of the bay. There is a great aquatic park that the hotel is connected to which makes for beautiful walks and gorgeous sunsets I would definitely recommend a stay here.

The Graduate is a great hottel across the street from the UC Berkeley campus and a great place to stay if you are visiting Berkeley or attending events on campus. The staff, including the cleaning people, demonstrated the highest standards in hospitality.

Even the room comes with the kitchen and amenities for cooking, you don’t have to really cook your breakfast as it’s included - enough to start your day off

Very old American style, the rooms are clean and tidy. Because of the old style, the facilities in the room are different from the modern ones. The room size, bed and bathroom are smaller. Breakfast is an ordinary American breakfast, a variety of bread jams and coffee and juice, very convenient. It would be better if the price could be cheaper. The key is to be too close to the University of California, Berkeley, to go to school to work or visit relatives should be a good choice.

The hotel is located in Berkeley city center, very close to UC Berkeley campus, the BART station and many restaurants. The hotel building is a bit old but functions well. The front door of the hotel is locked all day, and you will be given a key to enter the building. This makes one feel safe and quite comparing to the motels in the around area. Check in and out was easy and fast. I stayed in a queen bed room with shared bathroom. The room is not big, looks basic, but with all necessary stuff, even with a microwave. The bed was comfortable. The sink in the room is also convenient. The curtain in the room is not big enough to protect privacy. I hope this can be improved. The shared bathrooms were cleaned everyday. Each floor has two shared bathrooms, so most of the time you don't need to wait. The shower room is a bit small though. Generally hotel rooms in bay area are very expensive. If you don't mind to share the bathroom, this hotel is definitely the best deal you will find in Berkeley city center. Of course, the hotel also has rooms with private bathroom, at a price comparable to other motels in the area. Would recommend this hotel if you have a limited budget.
It was my first time staying in this hotel and I was very happy with my stay. The room are large with all the amenities like a mini fridge, microwave, and a bathrobe. My stay came with a complimentary cup of freshly brewed coffee in the morning. The rooms were newly renovated and it was very quite at night. The hotel has an in-house cafe that serves very good lattes and pastries. The hotel was also centrally located and it's a short walk to the CAL campus and also a few blocks from the downtown Berkeley Bart (Train) station. The highlight of the stay was that the hotel was next to cheeseboard, which is the best place to get pizzas and cheese. The front desk agent was also very helpful and gave me tips about things to do in Berkeley. I would definitely come back and stay at Sens Hotel again.
Business travel booking, quick check-in, good environment, suitable for business travel and family travel, good hygiene, friendly staff, very good service, highly recommended.
Small motel in downtown Berkeley, worked great for quick college tour. Room was clean and tidy and had an upgraded, tile and glass shower. Plenty of towels. It was just my son & I and we had a 2 bedroom on the 2nd floor. Note that for a family of 4, it might feel pretty tight for space -- not a lot of room to walk, between the bed and door, or other bed and the closet. However, for the 2 of us, it was just right. It's an urban area w/ traffic, but in general we weren't bothered by outside or road noises. Appreciated the bathroom having a small window that opened! Didn't hear any noises from neighboring rooms, which is always a plus. In the early evening we walked over to the Trader Joe's for snacks, which is basically across the street. Felt safe and wish we had more time to explore the area.

Berkeley Marina
DDEAR张小球Berkeley bay is quite beautiful, the location is not very good center, it takes some road and time to get here from the city, so there are fewer people, but the beach and beach people are quite beautiful
University of California Museum of Paleontology
TTodemmyIf you have kids for sure stop here....gives a an amazing view of the skeleton structure of animals. After parking and walking the building. you will spend at least 30 minutes to a zillion minutes depending on your interest.
Lawrence Hall of Science
1137***66This is a science exploration place for young children. Many hands on opportunities and a chance to pick up unique gifts. On top of that it is located overlooking the bay, giving the best view I have seen and I picked right day!
Berkeley Rose Garden
1139***11Located in the north corner of Berkeley City, not too far from the north gate of the Berkeley campus, it can be reached on foot. It is free during the day. The rose blooming season in May is very beautiful. From the rose garden, you can see the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. There is also a large park opposite the rose garden.
Sather Tower
3358***33The Sasse Tower is a landmark building at the University of California, Berkeley. In the center of the campus, due to the high tower, the university campus can be used as a reference and will not get lost. The tower has an elevator and should be able to climb to the top, but it is not open when we go. The tower is also a clock tower, with a large clock on each side, and the bells that are emitted can be heard almost throughout the campus.
Tilden Regional Park
TTodemmy[View] This is a very beautiful national park. Great views, mountain trails and open spaces, driving, hiking, cycling, running and golfing. [Fun] So close to the city and so close to nature. Great place to ride a bike, especially on weekdays with less traffic. [Value for money] Close to Bay/Berkeley and East Bay cities. Worth a visit
