We stayed for 2 nights over the weekend, and loved it. Uwe is accomodating with our meals request - where we had a German pork knuckle made for our dinner. The mix of German and Thai cuisine is amazing. With prior notice, the seafood can be freshly bought from the market and prepare to satisfaction. We were also grateful for Uwe's arranging us a boat trip to Khu Khut for the red lilies / lotus, and also for recommending the nearby municipal fresh food market. Overall, very clean rooms and pleased with the service although the team's English is not their first language. Only one pillow provided per person, and it was not a problem to request for more. The property is divided by a small road - rooms by the poolside adjoining the main lobby, where breakfast is served and the rooms by the beach which houses a nice dining area for the evening. Highly recommended to those seeking a nice place in the heart of Songkhla.
We had booked a ”sea view” room, which is in fact one of the 2 rooms closest to the hotel entrance/exit) with a window giving you a little bit of a lake view. You have to cross the street, walk a few meters and pass the trees to have a real good view of the lake. A little bit of an overselling? Probably yes, but this was not a big deal for us. The first of the 2 rooms meeting the definition of that we had booked had a poor AC (35° and not going down - I trust it will be fixed fast, if not done already). The gentleman managing the place was kind enough to give us the other one (which luckily was available!). It was small, clean and tidy with a good bathroom. Nothing fancy about it, yet nice; we felt good (and the AC worked wonderfully to bring the temperature down to 24/25°).
The owner allowed us to use his fridge to stock some of our fresh products (no fridge in the room).
The small car park across the street is convenient.
Coffee is made available in the morning. No breakfast.
The hotel is a few kilometers away from the city.
Overall, we were satisfied with our overnight stay.
