Find the Cheap Prior Velho Hotels

I regret choosing the Holiday Inn Express Airport Hotel. It seems to be the only Lisbon airport hotel that does not have a free shuttle to the nearby airport… you have to pay for your own taxi. Also, when I checked in, I specifically asked for a room with a bathtub, but, strangely, the desk clerk who checked me in neglected to tell me a very important detail. So I got my luggage upstairs, looking forward to soaking in a nice hot bath after a hard day of schlepping luggage around uphill on cobblestone streets in the heat. Once I got all my clothes off, I realized with horror that the bathtub plug was missing, so I could not, in fact, take a bath. I called the desk to report that I had no plug, and, instead of offering to bring one up to my room, they insisted that I come back downstairs to get a plug. So I had to get dressed all over again and go downstairs, only to find out that the hotel keeps all bathtub plugs behind the desk (without telling the guests that this is so case). Wouldn’t you think the clerk who checked me in would have thought to give me a plug at that time, when I requested a bathtub? Hot and tired, and with aching muscles, the getting dressed again for a compulsory trip downstairs was the last straw. And this claims to be a 3-star hotel. I don’t think so! Do your research and a hotel that provides a free shuttle to the airport… and a #%*^ bathtub plug!!! needs to re-think this.

Me and my partner booked the hotel for 6 nights. I had to lengthen our stay which was no problem with the hotel staff and they were very helpful and kind. Our room didn’t have the greatest view as it was directly across a Toyota dealership however we weren’t overly bothered about it. The room was very clean and so was the toilet, they provide a small fridge and a cupboard with a safe to place belongings. Our bed was very comfortable and served us well. They also offered free drinks downstairs in the hot drinks machines. They offended parking for cars and optional room cleaning service daily. The hotel is roughly 5 minutes driving away from the airport. Overall we had a great stay at the hotel ! The only problem we encountered which is the reason for 4 stars is that our toilet shower had an annoying problem with the temperature, it would go from warm to really cold and then proceed to really hot. Apart from that we had a great stay and we would recommend the hotel!

The hotel is very close to the airport. However they do not offer a shuttle. I took Uber there and back to airport which costed me about 5-7 euros. The room is not very big but comfy. The cleanliness can be improved a little bit. The breakfast selection is mostly sweet bakery. There are not many savory options. The staffs are friendly but they don’t speak much. Overall I would stay here again for an overnight layover just for the price.

I had a quick overnight stay at this beautiful hotel - my first time in an Ibis Styles. I was certainly impressed, it really is a fantastic hotel. Great staff, food, decor, BUT the rooms are not just small, they are tiny. I go on many cruises and I’ve never had a cabin this small, never mind a hotel room. However, it is what it is and very nicely furnished with nice towels, bottle of water, fridge, comfortable bedding. I got a really good rate for my one night and I am back in Lisbon in November but the price is more than double what I paid and it’s not worth that. However, I will always consider Ibis Styles when coming to Lisbon. It’s only 5 minutes from and to the airport so taxi is cheap, but they do have a free shuttle TO the airport starting at 0600 - it doesn’t operate in the other direction.

The airport hotel provided a convenient stay with its close proximity to the terminal, making it ideal for travelers with early flights. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, a satisfactory choice for a short stay before catching a flight. Check in is very smooth and quick. It’s an easy walk to the airport, if you don’t want to take the shuttle bus they offer

Since I chose this hotel for its price and its closeness to the airport, I was surprised at how swank it was. However, when I went to print my boarding pass, I couldn't get the printer to work. After some struggle, I asked a nice young lady at the desk and she said that the printer hookup didn't work and used her own printer to print it off for me. That gives a sense of how nice and professional the desk workers were. However, I wish that someone had put up a sign saying that the printer was down so that I would not have wasted so much time. Also, my room did not have enough toilet paper, I enjoyed the coffee maker in the room once I realized that I had to stick my doorkey (card) in a slot by the door in order to have any electricity. The room had USB ports so I did not have to use a converter to charge my phone, The room was clean and attractive and all the rooms seem to have a balcony. Mine looked out on the rotary and a gas station. The food was fabulous. The goat cheese salad and the watermelon gazpacho were amazing. The breakfast buffet consisted of hot dishes,cheeses, cold cuts, cut up fresh fruits and a whole shelf of pastry. I would come back!
