The hotel located at tanah rata. The hotel is upstairs and its shoplot area. The restaurant and other shorps located just around the corner. Walking distance to CH terminal bus and padang awam. Sharing bathroom. Its not suitable for family with kids because this is not a silent place since we are sharing with some disrespectful people sometimes.
Small but complete. The breakfast was good and tasty The room was unexpectedly clean. Very cost-effective. There is also a small garden. The waiter's attitude is also good. Very satisfied
The location of the B&B is easy to find using Google Maps. The community environment is quiet and quiet, and the registration process at the security office is smooth.
The accommodation is located on the first floor of Building A1 of the community. Please note that the first floor here is the lowest underground floor, and the parking lot is outside the balcony.
The gate shows traces of time (Picture 1). It was 4 o'clock in the afternoon when we arrived. It was sunny outside and the corridor of the B&B was dimly lit (Picture 2).
The B&B is located in the building where you turn right. There is a patio on the left hand side of the door (Picture 3). There is stagnant water, mosquitoes and a few sp**** green plants inside.
The whole B&B is damp and dim, the lighting in the living room is poor, and the lights must be turned on all day long (Picture 4-5). Since it is the lowest floor, the bedding and bedding all feel damp, and the toilet has a peculiar smell.
What makes people collapse is the design of the toilet (Figure 6).
1. There is no dry and wet separation, the shower head is fixed, and the water will overflow into the toilet seat and wash basin after each bath.
2. There is no ventilation, the entire toilet is filled with water vapor, and the walls and floor are covered with water.
3. The toilet has poor drainage, and the bath water cannot be drained out in time. It spreads to the entire toilet. When you open the drain (Picture 7), it is very disgusting and there is a lot of hair and garbage.
I would not recommend this B&B to any friends, it is not a comfortable place.

A new management took over what use to be a hotel called Bird's Nest. Foremost the pricing and location was good. Compared to other cheaper hotel of shoplot kind where you can hear the noise from the streets below. I was glad that this hotel was slightly away from the streets. This is whats best about it for me. Room space: Stayed in the cheapest Standard twin room, which had adequate space to move about for 2 person. Sleep: Was fairly good, had 2 good fluffy pillow like those better hotels. Mattress was fine as well. Bathroom: No problem on its function. Just a shame there was some leak on shower head which could easily be fixed by any plumber or handyman. Other than that its all fine. Bathroom window is fine, either close it or leave slightly ajar if concern of privacy. TV system do not have local channel yet but is connected to an android box. However wifi connection was poor that i had to use my own internet as hotspot. Still can watch netflix on it if you have an account, or watch the free youtube on it. So quite a trouble here. Food access: Location was good, i can walk to many restaurant nearby in like 5-10minutes the most. The Top restaurant in tanah rata, a the famous Indian food restaurant is just right in front. Cleanliness: Appears all clean I will still consider this place over the hotels at the main streets of tanah rata. Just hope they will get proper people to maintain the place.

Service is good. The hair dryer can be rented for RM5.
It's cheap and worth it, it's suitable for 5 adults and a child.
Recommended. The bus stand is also nearby.
Nice and clean room. It was cleaned daily and we received new bottles of water and clean towels every day. They even changed the sheets during our 3-days stay. The receptionist was helpful when we needed to get taxis. It was very hard to get a good night’s sleep. You hear every sound from the corridor and the neighbouring rooms. The sound really travels! The balcony was shared with the adjacent room, which leads to lacking of privacy and (if you’re unlucky) there’s even more noise when you’re trying to sleep.
The staff was really friendly and the bedding was comfortable.
There was a gym right above it and a restaurant and market underneath, so it was convenient. Photo of the restaurant and gym

In overall it's just okay, the area is in a villa's complex so not really get the feelings of being in nature.
But if you compare the budget for buying/renting the caravan, renting camping site and all amenities it consider to be fair.
But in overall it worth a try for people who never experience real camping at least to have a little bit of the hassle of real camping.

Outstanding
AAnonymous UserHad a great time at this boutique hotel. It’s relatively new and adopt a very interesting design concept. They only have 10 rooms I think. The landscaping around the hotel was really nice. The location of this place is in Tanah Rata, so it’s not as crowded as Brinchang, also it’s not as congested in terms of traffic. You only get one car park per room. It’s situated right at the end of the street, quite secluded and very private.
There’s no one waiting during check in, basically, you text a number and someone comes out to give you keys to your room and ask for breakfast selection for the following morning. All communication was done through the WhatsApp. We also asked for extra towels and shampoo, owners were very courteous and generous.
Felt very safe for my family with young children could just roam around freely. In terms of amenities, there’s no swimming pool or gym facilities. But there’s a place to do bbq and gather in the common area. They give you the auto gate lock if you were to drive out and come back late at night, you can allow yourself in and lock the gate yourself.
In the morning you can hear very loud bird chirping. The air was very fresh! But we were awoken by the loud noise of grass trimming from next door, some government office. There’s also a dormitory next door and you can hear evening prayers.
Nearby, there’s a lot of shops and restaurants whereby you will find no problems settling your meals, about 5 mins walk down to the Main Street.
Just a few things to note :
- There’s a lot of stairs and if you have elderly in your entourage, it is not very convenient getting to the room. You may ask for ground floor rooms of course. The stairs worked super well for my children though, they just enjoyed going up and down so much!
- We booked loft rooms. The toilet and bath tub is located next to the main door. It’s open concept, meaning if you were to take a shower at night or go to toilet, it’s going to be cold.
- The beds are on the top floor, so if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night, you have to walk down the stairs.
- The bathtub and shower design is not so convenient for young children or elderly.
- Breakfast comes in very cute tiffin boxes. They place it outside your door around 8 plus. However, I always couldn’t catch their delivery on time, and most times the food is rather cold already.
Overall, I still enjoyed my stay very much. I think would very suitable for young couples, and groups of young travelers.

Room type: Quadraple room for 2 adult 2 kids. No breakfast ya... can go out for eat or can ”tapaw” nearby and santai² makan outside lobby area. Can go down and make ur tea @ coffee for free of charges. Got quite hour 11pm-7am. However you can go anywhere you want. Given entrance door key in case you come back late night.
CCecile1986The hostel is really nicely located next to the bus station. There is also plenty of restaurants and shops.
The sunrise tour was super nice, and hikes are organized for free almost everyday. The staff was also providing tips and organizing nice evening to socialize.
LLouisFriendly staff and well located hotel. We took the double bedroom with shared bathroom. The he room was clean but the pillows were smelly and as it’s pretty high in the mountain, we got cold during the night even with the blanket. The showers/toilets are small and there are only 2 of them for around 6 double bedrooms. The toilets were dirty and one of the shower didn’t have hot water (usually not a bug thing but again it’s cold in the mountain). It was ok but we had way better stays
GGuest UserOne of the cheaper options in Cameron Highlands. The hostel is quite clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a light, fan, socket and shelf in each bed with a curtain to enable privacy. You are not provided with free towels or shower products, but you can rent towels for 5 ringgit. The shower in our room was temperamental and was sometimes very cold or had no water pressure, but it was ok for the most part. Wi-Fi worked excellently throughout the whole hostel which is great. There is a public fridge available for use and the hostel offers laundry for 18 ringgit for 3kg (we didn’t use this as it is cheaper to do self service nearby). The location is perfect and it’s very close to the limited number of shops and restaurants in Tanah Rata. You can also book tours through the hostel and there is walking tours every day. The staff are ok but reinforce rules about housekeeping very firmly, a bit too ‘school like’ for me, but understandable to try and keep the hostel clean and quiet. Overall, a good budget stay but I’m glad we didn’t have to spend more than 3 nights, but perfect for backpackers on a budget.
GGuest UserThe staff at this property saved from sleeping on the street on our first night in Tanah Rata due to a problem between the hotel we booked and the agent (the big ”A”). We rolled up at about 10pm after dragging our luggage across town. Note: difficult to find taxi or Grab after 9pm. They gave us a room for the night but we stayed for 3. The staff were great, especially Elaine, who provided heaps of useful guidance and also organized our self-drive motorbike tour. She's a gem. The property is quiet and pleasant. Good public areas and grounds. Prices competitive. We had a double with private en-suite. Hot water was useful in this climate. Internet was a little unreliable. Didn't sleep well but that was mostly due to change in climate. Clean and sure to be a success, especially compared to our intended hotel.
AAnonymous UserStrategic location to stay cuz there are a lot of shops nearby of you need something. There also various restaurants for breakfast till supper. Lots of parkings. Lifts works well. Water host for main bathroom already broke but not been fix. Also main bedroom floor wet and slippery during check in. There is no bath towel provided, so please bring your own. Phone line in the house not really really good but they provide wifi.
GGuest UserSo far all good for the price we paid but there is some things might be improved which is there is non receptionist for 24 hours and if emergency case we can’t find them. Our check in was self check in and the key was just on the table with our names only so it is like not secure at all overall okayy so far nothing much to tell. Thank you Mr David.
