Location: Perfect as middle of Cameron. Easy to access Mall and variety of foods.
Service: Firstly, the owner or management gave wrong location. Secondly, the key was located on P1 post box but lift at P2. Thirdly, at Lift B got 1 lift only, need to wait for very long to go to Homestay.
Cleanliness: No complaint on it.
Facilities: All good as the management prepared food amenities with fridge, cooker and electric stove. Other than that bed and room amenities perfect but the Entertainment system sucks, the TV useless for Indians as only got 1 channel to access other than that the TV and Room Fan remotes malfunctions. The balcony table is not there as on example.
Anyway, i loved the location with surrounding entertaining areas and view from the balcony and window.

The hotel located at tanah rata. The hotel is upstairs and its shoplot area. The restaurant and other shorps located just around the corner. Walking distance to CH terminal bus and padang awam. Sharing bathroom. Its not suitable for family with kids because this is not a silent place since we are sharing with some disrespectful people sometimes.
Everything was ok but the down side was breakfast not same as last year. Many menu was taken out from the list. Now only limited choice of breakfast.
Additionally, there is no drinking water bottle provided in the room. It's been pleasure if there are provided.
The staff was really friendly and the bedding was comfortable.
There was a gym right above it and a restaurant and market underneath, so it was convenient. Photo of the restaurant and gym

We chose this hotel for two reasons : the great location (smack in the middle of Tanah Rata town) and the price (an irresistible discount in view of the current covid19 situation). We were not disappointed. Our room was comfortable, adequate bedding, bottled water thoughtfully provided. We also liked the layout of the minimalist but adequately appointed bathroom with its limitless supply of hot water (very important in view of the cold wet weather). Our only complaint would be that there was a strong ammonia smell emanating from the toilet bowl. The water in the toilet bowl was also always slightly discoloured no matter how often we flushed it but as we were only staying a night, we weren’t too fussed. We did find it slightly disconcerting that the staff constantly made themselves quite at home on the sofas of the reception area but perhaps they’re the owners so it’s their style. Would definitely recommend the hotel at the current rates offered.

Outstanding
AAnonymous UserHad a great time at this boutique hotel. It’s relatively new and adopt a very interesting design concept. They only have 10 rooms I think. The landscaping around the hotel was really nice. The location of this place is in Tanah Rata, so it’s not as crowded as Brinchang, also it’s not as congested in terms of traffic. You only get one car park per room. It’s situated right at the end of the street, quite secluded and very private.
There’s no one waiting during check in, basically, you text a number and someone comes out to give you keys to your room and ask for breakfast selection for the following morning. All communication was done through the WhatsApp. We also asked for extra towels and shampoo, owners were very courteous and generous.
Felt very safe for my family with young children could just roam around freely. In terms of amenities, there’s no swimming pool or gym facilities. But there’s a place to do bbq and gather in the common area. They give you the auto gate lock if you were to drive out and come back late at night, you can allow yourself in and lock the gate yourself.
In the morning you can hear very loud bird chirping. The air was very fresh! But we were awoken by the loud noise of grass trimming from next door, some government office. There’s also a dormitory next door and you can hear evening prayers.
Nearby, there’s a lot of shops and restaurants whereby you will find no problems settling your meals, about 5 mins walk down to the Main Street.
Just a few things to note :
- There’s a lot of stairs and if you have elderly in your entourage, it is not very convenient getting to the room. You may ask for ground floor rooms of course. The stairs worked super well for my children though, they just enjoyed going up and down so much!
- We booked loft rooms. The toilet and bath tub is located next to the main door. It’s open concept, meaning if you were to take a shower at night or go to toilet, it’s going to be cold.
- The beds are on the top floor, so if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night, you have to walk down the stairs.
- The bathtub and shower design is not so convenient for young children or elderly.
- Breakfast comes in very cute tiffin boxes. They place it outside your door around 8 plus. However, I always couldn’t catch their delivery on time, and most times the food is rather cold already.
Overall, I still enjoyed my stay very much. I think would very suitable for young couples, and groups of young travelers.
GGuest UserThe rooms are spacious and comfortable, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to 5-star expectations. The separate toilet bowl and shower area, though unique, was a bit inconvenient. It would have been more practical to have everything together in one space.
Another issue was the water heater—it took a long time to get hot. In terms of amenities, It would be great if they added a kids’ playroom to improve the family-friendliness.
On the positive side, breakfast was just nice, parking was hassle-free, and there are plenty of shops nearby, which adds convenience to your stay.
AAbdul AhadThoroughly it was a nice stay. Enjoyed the stay there, but still the standards can be more upgraded. Booked the said, as it was one of the finest available properties at Cameroon Highland and having a steps away Golf Course. So overall, I was satisfied with the stay.
EEngchiau ChuWe had a pleasant and comfortable stay . The inn is clean and well maintained,, with a cosy pantry thrown in . One thing which would hv been good would be that our room had been provided with a bench for our luggage .
GGermaineLocation wise, the hotel is situated at the mouth of Ringlet. It is a good 30min drive to shops and eateries so unless you are prepared to brave 30min (or more on a busy day) on windy roads upwards (and another 30min back to hotel therafter), you may have to think twice. It was becos of this factor, our family of 5 decided to just spend the entire day in the hotel.
Food at the restaurant in the hotel was pretty decent. A Malaysian chicken curry rice will set you back RM60, so just to let you in on the prices.
The hotel is well kept and the rooms are generally clean. I booked the family room and am impressed by its size, cleanliness. Sheets are clean and room is well-made. Like the simple touches added by the hotel, eg, towels are lightly rose scented, essential oil candle lamps in the rooms. Mattress was really comfortable and the husband enjoyed a good night's rest. Our room came with breakfast the next morning. Breakfast is semi-buffet- pick a main from menu, whilst cheeses, muffins and variety of staples are free flow. A glass of freshly squeezed orange juice is complimentary - that was the best perk me up for me.
We were also pleasantly surprised that the hotel washed the guests' cars. Our car was refreshed and ready for the roads again after a night at the Lakehouse.
Though the hotel wasn't my first choice initially but I might just wanna return again. Thank you Lakehouse for making a day's stay a memorable and comfortable one.
JJeffery CYThe location of Avillion Cameron Highlands is quite convenient, with everything you need within walking distance. There’s a convenience store, restaurants, fashion stores, and even a Mr. DIY on the ground floor, along with some playgrounds for kids (though many shop lots remain empty). The street food options outside the hotel building are a nice bonus, and breakfast at the hotel, while simple, is acceptable. However, there are a few areas that need improvement. Finding the hotel can be challenging as there’s no signage to guide you. The cleanliness of the room needs attention, as the cushions, sofa, and beds’ headboards have an unpleasant smell, suggesting they haven’t been cleaned in a while. Overall room hygiene is moderate but could be better. With a few improvements, the experience here could be much more enjoyable.

Rrizal redlineDelicious foods, great coffee at the 18 Degree Cafe..easy to refill your cafein here..nice & cozy place..comfort pillow and mattress..most of the time, i will stay here due to its surroundings and just walking distance to Kea Farm & Sheep Santuary..no need to rush or deal with the parking queue to park my car..this hotel also have car park at the basement, kids friendly and have games like snooker to fulfill family activities.
TTraMyT8It is a nice place to stay, to relax. It has a nice view, nice architecture, lovely decoration. But the weather of this place is quite cool or cold, so it will be greater to avoid of being wet much from the floor by having a barrier and the curtain to seperate the area for having bath from the one for face wash basin and toilet basin. Thank you.
GGuest UserThis was the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. If you want to stay in a safe and friendly place, DO NOT BOOK HERE. The check-in time is 3:00 but we arrived after 4:00. However, the room we checked into still had the previous guest's towels and there were no new towels in the room. When we asked the receptionist for new towels, she told us they were in the laundry. We checked in after the check-in time, but there were no towels available, so we had to wait for them without being able to shower, which disrupted our schedule. Towels that were provided later were also in very poor condition. The water. The shower hose was terrible for taking a shower. I booked a Suite Room but the shower hose was barely producing any water so I ended up showering using a plastic bowl like the one pictured below. Who knew someone would take a horrible shower in a suite room? The water was hot for a bit, then cold, then hot again for a bit. It was the perfect way to catch a cold in Camerons rainy weather. The lights I couldn't turn off the light in my Suite Room. The light started to flicker and the switch was electrified when I turned it off to go to sleep at 2am. That is really dangerous. If I get electrocuted, who will be responsible? The reception desk was closed and the night staff came to the room, but there was nothing he could do about it. When I went to the reception desk the next day, the reception staff didn't even know what had happened the night before. I can't believe it. The suite room couldn't turn off the light and the switch was electrified. The last thing that was horrible was the reception staff. After all of this had happened, the receptionist was very blunt and I never heard any kind of apology for the inconvenience. She simply called another member of staff and asked me to move to another room, with no intention of explaining or apologising. I don't know why she has to work at the reception desk. This place needs to train its reception staff.
