Property itself is very good – with great and helpful owner Shameer and all the staff. Rooms are clean, beach towels and water always available, they serve good breakfast and can cook a good lunch. Once Shameer went snorkeling with me to show a non-obvious snorkeling place near the island. He was kind to help me printing and scanning the papers I needed to send home. On the downside - window was facing the wall in a meter distance (unfortunately not uncommon problem of Maldivian guesthouses and hotels), there were. no soundproofing with the adjoining room - sounds like the neighbors are in your room. Location-wise - hostel used to be on the beach, but now - after the extension of the island - near the huge wasteland that used to be the ocean. The worst thing about our stay was the island. It is by far the least interesting of 11 Maldivian local island we have visited: nothing to see, nothing to do, unless going somewhere by the boat, small bikini beach with a very shallow water, no house reef except for some 0,5 meter deep little coral field where you can snorkel during the high tide without getting coral cuts, only one ok restaurant - in a word, no vibe, no attractions. If I’d visit only this island I would have terribly wrong impression from Maldives.

The hotel for price quality ratio was good. Had a slight problem with the air conditioner but they resolved it/replaced it. Breakfast was pretty good but some of the food was too spicy for the customers at the hotel. Drinks for also expensive and I was just on half board so I didn't have any. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful and I had a pleasurable experience. Be warned this hotel has a very dead reef. You can see fish but no reef. One side of the island is not swimmable. I paid $123 for a ocean view room with half board. Drinking water is free and plentiful. Make sure you get half bored because the buffet dinner is 60 US dollars.
I would like to share your experience of visiting this hotel. Once we arrived in Maldives, our luggage was lost, the hotel owners made their best efforts and found our luggage. The hotel is very cozy, very delicious food, a chic beach on which baggage is taken. Better attitude to the visitor than anywhere, help everything and perform any of your capriz. Every few days have arranged a barbecue, went fishing. It was free. It was great, you feel very comfortable and good. I want to thank the hotel owners again for all they have done for us . You are wonderful people. I would like to share my experience of visiting this hotel. As soon as we arrived in the Maldives, our luggage was lost, the owners of the hotel made every effort and found our luggage. The hotel is very cozy, very tasty food, a gorgeous beach, where they carry bugs. The best attitude to the visitor than anywhere else, they help in everything and fulfill your every whim. Every few days they had a barbecue, went fishing. It was free. It was very cool, you feel very comfortable and good. Once again I want to thank the owners of the hotel for everything they did for us. You are wonderful people.
Don't mention how much regret it has, and spent too much money! I booked through the agency, I took the children myself. After I went there, I didn’t need an extra bed. The children would have to add 46 dollars a day. The Chinese dinner should be taken care of. For every meal, add 25 dollars, which adds 96 dollars a day. The bar has to pay for it. I searched for all-inclusive, this hotel under the all-inclusive package. After I went there, I said that there is no all-inclusive statement through the agency! The agent pit is dead.
The second time I went, the first time my son was only five years old, I was very reluctant when I came back this time, the environment is very good, the service is also good, especially thanks to the service staff in the main restaurant, and the warm than, always warm and careful welcome us.
The only suggestion is to train the Chinese staff well. I met two on the island. One is that I never see each other except when I go to the island. Well, this is kind of disappointing. The service of the two Four Seasons Islands in Maldives has always made people feel very comfortable and considerate. This time, especially the Chinese staff gave me the feeling that the training was rushed?
Non-motorized water activities: kayaking and subboat are very fun, because there are breakwaters, snorkeling is very safe and friendly to children
The kidsclub has a lot of activities, especially for children under the age of five, it’s so fun, older friends can do some crafts and eat
Restaurant: The taste is good, but it’s a pity that the Chinese food is not as authentic and delicious as before, but after the epidemic, there is no way

Stayed beginning of June 2023. Place is new, clean and staffs are all wonderful. We were two surfer girls from US and happy we chose this place. Pros: You ARE on the island where you can walk to ‘Jail Break’ Staffs can give you a ride if they have time. (Check the tide since entry to this point is tricky with corals. You might consider bringing booties). We chose the smallest room with two beds to share our luggages made it little hard to walk around but room has small fridge, bathroom with shower and rack to hang staff. Bikini beach, where you are allowed to expose your skin, is just a steps away if you want to chill. Hotel staffs will go and beyond to help arrange the boat to surf spots and other activities. Oevaru, even though this restaurant is NOT part of the hotel, it’s right next door. FBH has just opened it’s own restaurant for hotel guest around the corner where we had a nice breakfast. Wifi worked good throughout our stay. This is NOT a resort you think of Maldive. This is the ‘Guest House’ so don’t expect breakfast buffets or anything fancy. They’ll provide basic needs. They may fix your sheets but they won’t be washed unless you ask for it. Cons: (Place is new and they are working on improving it for surfers.) They don’t really have a surfboard rack outside. You have to leave your board at lobby or bring up to your room in small stairs. Hot water shower may take 10-15min of running water and not much pressure(local small island with minimal infrastructure). Place has a common area to sit down/eat on 4th floor but it’s too hot to hang out during the summer time. Himmafushi island has no resort, Only three restaurants on the island that were open when we were there had same menus and it’s hard to find vegetables/fruits since they must import food from somewhere. You are expected to cover your skin and no alcohol are allowed on this island. If you want those western cultures you may find to stay in ‘Resort’ or have a day trip to ‘Resort’.
The hotel was basic, but clean. The staff were absolutely fantastic and super helpful. For the price great stay! I would Recommend and would stay again myself if visiting the island again.
