Find the Cheap Bologna Hotels

Fabulous location. You can walk everywhere. Very spacious 2 room suite with large bathroom with shower/tub. Traditional Italian decor - local feeling. We had the Suite Piazza Maggiore on the 5th floor. You can see view over to Piazza Maggiore. Easy taxi dropoff and pickup for arrival and departure.

Hotel Astoria Bologna. We got off to a bad start when we were given the wrong room and staff insisted that was the one I booked...When i showed the booking confirmation booking a room with a balcony and view (rather than ground floor over the garage and car park) they realised their error blaming the booking system !!...Why can't hotels just say 'sorry'. The room, simply furnished, was fine and the small balcony a good place to chill after a day walking the city. The Astoria is NOT city centre, and for us two fit but 71 year olds we found the advertised 'short' walk (just over a mile) to the city centre quite exhausting. The Hotel area is quiet and we felt quite safe, even late at nigh walking back. Breakfast, served indoors or outside was pretty chaotic and typicaly Italian, lots of cakes and sweet things which were very good. It would have been nice to have had some nice coffee but the 'Coffee machine' was always out of order..'It needs a service' we were told...the 'auto coffee' machine served dark brown liquid bearing little resemblance to coffee ! A clean up of the outside area where we ate would have been nice. The Astoria is a mid budget hotel, but even so not cheap...but Bologna is not cheap, so market forces dictate. The Astoria is slightly down at heel and needs a good clean and smarten up. The many staff on duty were, on the whole, enthusiastic but always so busy...they also look after several nearby apartments served by the Astoria booking system. I would like to thank the hotel for sending a nice bottle of red wine to my room courtesy of the hotel for my 71st birthday..a nice touch. Would i go back ?...sadly no...in 2023 it just isn't good enough to take my £....

Warm service, tea at night, a teapot, and a teacup. Carefully print the ticket. Convenient transportation, 10 minutes walk from the train station. Surrounded by lively, there are supermarkets a few hundred meters away. There are many varieties of breakfast, not bad.

Excellent séjour dans cet hôtel où l'on est accueilli chaleureusement. On se trouve dans le centre historique de Bologne avec toutes les belles choses à voir à proximité, en quelques pas. Parking pratique piazza VIII Agosto (5 mn à pied) et hors ZTL. Si vous êtes chargés pas de problème signalez votre plaque d'immatriculation lors de la réservation et vous pouvez accéder à l'hôtel sans risque de contravention. Notre chambre au 4eme étage avec ascenseur était spacieuse, propre, lumineuse et confortable, la salle de bain petite mais suffisante, le linge de toilette en quantité largement suffisante. Restaurants et bars à proximité, quartier animé, bolognais, étudiants... un peu de bruit le soir sur les terrasses mais c'est le centre ville et peu après minuit c'est calme. Cela ne nous a pas gênés. Super rapport qualité prix vu les tarifs hôteliers pratiqués à Bologne. Emplacement top. Et si le service petit déjeuner buffet n'est pas proposé, vous avez la bonne surprise de vous voir offrir de 7h30 à 9h30 café, thé ou cappuccino avec un croissant dans une salle attenante à la réception. Réception 24/24, possibilité de laisser les bagages en consigne le jour du départ après le check out. Personnel vraiment adorable. Je recommande vivement

La struttura è comoda, dista 15 minuti di macchina dal centro di Bologna, la camera era in ordine e perfettamente pulita, e le ragazze che lavorano lì sono di una gentilezza unica. Essendo celiaca ho chiesto qualche info per la colazione e, oltre ai muesli già presenti al Buffet, mi hanno fatto avere anche dei Muffin al cioccolato buonissimi della Schar. Unica pecca: Internet non funzionava quando siamo arrivati, ma era espressamente comunicato il disagio e, per questo, non è stata una sorpresa. Consiglio vivamente la struttura, sia per il prezzo che per la qualità del soggiorno!

We loved this hotel. Everything was brilliant from the lovely staff to the comfortable room, (with a superb shower), and the generous breakfast. Our only regret? That we didn't stay in Bologna longer. We intend to remedy that, and when we do, we will definitely stay here!

My room was spotlessly clean, good air conditioning and a comfortable bed. Breakfast had a lovely range of pasties, salami, cheese, rolls, cereals, fruit juice and amazing coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful despite my language barrier. Room had a fridge in which was particularly helpful as the temperatures outside when I was there was 35 degrees. It was lovely to come back to a cool room after a long walk. I would highly recommend the restaurant across the road for the tastiest meal and friendly service - La Nuova Fraschetta

The hotel is in a great location. The very center. The room is very spacious. The mattress is comfortable. The furniture is authentic, but this has its own charm. There is a balcony!!! And the view is great)

Nice hotel, it is a bit far from the city center, the surrounding area is very quiet, the deluxe room is booked, on the top floor, there are skylights, the view is relatively wide, the room facilities are relatively complete, and the sanitation is also good. If you do not consider the distance or the surrounding area Service is still recommended.

This hotel is perfectly located in the center of Bologna. The instructions they had sent us to drive in did not include recent road closures due to construction, so we probably broke every driving law getting there, but they took care of letting the authorities know so that we weren't fined. The rooms were fantastic, each (we had 3) with stunning and different wall hangings and headboards, and wonderful bathrooms. The breakfast had everything you could ever want, including candy (children were in awe!). Staff (except for one at front desk) were all very helpful and kind. Would definitely stay here again.
