The location is really good, less than two minutes' walk from the pier, the environment is good, the house is very distinctive, it is the seaside, the service is good, the facilities are complete, and it is recommended
Absolutely beautiful setting. Better than expected. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Bike rental and laundry service made life so easy and the breakfast pancakes were one of the best I’ve ever had. Good coffee too. 200m from the beach and “town”. So good I immediately extended my stay!
Ben (the owner) was kind and professional at all times, always helping us and making us feel welcome. The room was very good, the bed was excellent and super comfortable. There was no hot water on the shower but trust me, you WONT need hot water over there :) Breakfast was delicious and they have the yummiest protein shakes ever! I think they are the only ones who have a gym on site, didnt see any other one in the island. The location is good, only a few meters from the harbour and around 400m to the turtle point. Swimming pool is big and deep, you can relax after a beach day! Will definitely choose Tropica again when Im back to Gili :)

Ponte villas is the perfect location - within walking/cycling distance of everything you’d want in Gili T but far enough away to have a quiet, peaceful and relaxing stay. The staff are all awesome and create such a good atmosphere. The managers were always helpful and Lalu (Antonio) kept us laughing throughout and was always very attentive! The BBQ is delicious (highly recommend). I recommended that the hotel sell the marinade as it’s that good. The staff went above and beyond to give me some to take home! The food is great and some of the best value for money that we’ve had in Bali, both in terms of quality and portions. We couldn’t fault our stay and loved every second. Highly recommend. Thank you from Rhys and Emma!
When discovering the Gili Islands you should experience the island life to the fullest. This can be done perfectly by staying in a beach cabin. We did so at Santorini Beach Resort and it defenitely was a fun experience! Each cabin has their own little terrace, a room with a bed, tv, desk & fridge and a bathroom with a shower. The hotel has a nice, refreshing pool and access to the beach. Bike rental is complimentary which is amazing! We can highly recommend using this service as it’s the way to explore the island and discover all it has to offer. Breakfast is freshly made in the morning depending on what you desire which is such a nice service. Thank you for the wonderful time at the island Santorini Beach Resort !
Hotel room was clean and comfy, the hotel food was excellent especially the Indian menu as well as Aston burger which was a winner with kids. The service was amazing! Special thanks to Hadi who made our stay pleasant he even took the time to explore the island with my son! The management of the hotel regarding service is the best by far! We will definitely be back ! Thanks so much Hadi and co. 🌺
We stayed at this hotel in Gili Trawangan in the quieter part of the island for my husband's birthday. The team was super welcoming and smiling. They helped organize a memorable evening. We requested a special dinner on the beach. The table setting at sunset was stunning. They personalized the mocktails according to my husband's tastes. The cake was also personalized with a blend of flavors that my husband loves. The entire team came out together to sing happy birthday. The food was delicious. The room was spacious. Exceptional hospitality. I can only recommend it. Thank you to Ayub for always being attentive and fulfilling all our wishes. You provided incredible emotions and warm memories.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown
A wonderful stay, on the peaceful side of the island and right on sunset beach. The rooms are private villas and it was perfect for what we needed. A really comfortable bed too. Breakfast was so tasty and very fresh. We even had dinner (sometimes lunch) at the hotel every night because it was so great - a BBQ of fresh seafood or choice of the a la carte menu. We must mention Shadi who was fantastic during our stay, he was happy to chat and recommended a guy to take us snorkelling to see the turtles. All of the staff were very helpful and lovely. We hired bikes from the reception for the day to tour the island, very easy to do. We found ourselves wanting to return here after we left!

UUnplanned travelerBefore writing this review, I thought for too long about whether I should write this or not.
I wish people didn't know how friendly and warm the staff at this hotel is.
I wish other people didn't know how happy it is to eat a delicious breakfast while listening to the sound of birds and carriages and the sea breeze.
I wish people didn't know how enjoyable it is to walk back to room with a clean and beautifully maintained garden.
Above all, I hope the others don't know how fantastic it is to sit on the beach in front of the hotel and drink beer while watching the sunset.
I hope that when I travel here again, people will notice what this place is good and it won't be so full that I won't be able to stay here.
I was planning to stay on the Gili for two days, but stayed for two more. Although I had to give up southern Bali tour, I was able to have a happier time thanks to it.
I don't want to go home.
I don't want to go to work.

💞Reasons to Recommend:
The hotel was away from the busy beach front and noise, situated in a quiet remote location.
The hotel has cheap laundry services available.
The hotel allows you access to the main fridge to store your own drinks and food. There is free tea and coffee available.
💡 Think about:
The location is very remote, next to a farm. Often the farms burn wood and make bonfires and the rooms often smell like bonfire.
The hotel offers one choice of fruit, omelette or toast for breakfast.
Very small rooms with no safe.
The hammocks haven’t been cleaned and some are mouldy.
The bathroom is located outside, therefore if you do not like the outdoors, this hotel might not be for you.
GGuest UserDon’t believe the pictures in the advertisement! They don’t reflect reality. The pictures pretend that the hotel is at least a 4 * location. The truth is that this is not the case! It is located at a very poor area in mid of the island where local people burn their trash including plastic. The smell is disgusting it is everywhere, in your room also during night and it burns in your eyes. The hotel is run by a group of very young unprofessional boys and I would like to emphasise that they are really friendly, kind and helpful and try to do their best. They also prepare breakfast in a kitchen which is disgusting! Therefore, I preferred to have breakfast at a proper place even though breakfast was included. See the attached fotos to get an impression what expects you and better choose another hotel if you want to enjoy your holidays. I had to pay 400 € for 3 nights, it is not worth half the price. I tried to get a reimbursement but the hotel didn’t accept. They obviously see the hotel as a cash cow and not a place where their guest should feel comfortable. This was very frustrating! At the end Trip. com accepted my complaint and offered me help. My advice: Choose a hotel at the beach, there are so many!
CCN Man 420We stayed as two couples and had a spectacular time at Kelapa. Ren the manager was ready to help our every need straight away and helped us book bikes and trips. She went as far as confirming we didn't pay too much when we booked others on our own. The villa itself was clean, tidy and exactly what we were looking for. The pool is huge but rather deep for the most part so you'll want to keep an extra eye on children.
The Kelapa boys would come by to clean the place every morning about 10-11am and did an excellent job. They were very polite and made sure not to go into your room to clean without asking first.
I gave one less star on location because it's in the heart of the island where it's much quieter. If you're looking for a night out you'll definitely need a bike or carriage arranged, otherwise you can expect a long walk home.
We originally booked 3 nights and very quickly decided to add on to our stay. Thanks so much Ren and Team for an unforgettable visit!
Best,

NNicholasWe stayed in suite with sea view, which was a very beautiful room but would be more aptly named as poolside suite, since our view was mainly of the villas in front of us. We would have booked the ocean front villa but from the pictures it seemed like it wasnt very private and kind of the centre of everything, but those villas seemed much more private than the room we booked - pretty much in the reception of the villa. That being said, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the place only has 5 rooms, so it is quiet and you mostly get the pool to yourself and you can watch the sunset while swimming in the pool. The breakfast was good and the rooms were pristine and tastefully decorated. We would stay here again - just in a different room.
CCoastal48045735592This was the most beautiful place to spend a few days with our family of 5 (kids aged 11, 13 and 17). The villa was absolutely magical but please be mindful that it is an open air villa and Gili T is very hot so it can be quite warm sitting in the open air spaces. The bedrooms are very well air conditioned and I loved the outdoor bathroom. We visited during Ramadan and I also loved hearing the Karan playing faintly in then distance from the local Mosque overnight. We hired bicycles from reception and explored the beautiful island. We hired snorkels for $2.50 each and snorkelled right off the beach (wearing reef shoes is a MUST) and saw a huge variety of brightly coloured fish. I loved the included breakfast where fresh fruit and breads were served with fresh juice and then you can choose an item from the breakfast menu. We also ate lunch and dinner here which were lovely. We arrived at the island unwell for our last stop and the staff could not have been more accommodating in sending smoothies and coconut water to our room. Arranging a doctor late at night for my son and Keeping an eye on my 17 year old daughter who loved the freedom of riding around on the bicycle while we were sick. The view from our villa (number 3) to the beach was amazing. I would love to return perhaps without the younger kids as they found it very hot and didn’t enjoy it as much. We noted that there were very few Australians at the resort with most of the other guests being European which also made this feel more like a real holiday!!! I want to reinforce that the staff at Gili Eco Villa’s were outstanding and couldn’t have done more to make our stay as memorable as it was.
SSoniaFransLocation is fabulous, right across road from beach and bars/restaurants. Walking distance (10 mins) from Marina when u arrive. Staff friendly enough. Breakfast ok. Cute little hammock outside room which my son loved. Thats the good news. Bad: Room not the cleanest, sockets hanging off walls, opened mirror to find no mirror in it! Second mirror in bathroom dirty and cracked. Shower hose was hanging off wall and not connected to shower, this was fixed after we complained. I also had to ask for bedding to be changed on arrival as it was stained, toilet is yellow and dirty and the fridge doesnt fridge properly.. Water still warm even overnight. Aircon pispoor and door looks like one good shove and it would open even when locked. Water from the restaurant also warm, they dont put in fridge for some reason?? Few sunbeds round pool but by 11.30am they are all in shade and you cant move them which is a shame because its a nice quiet pool area away from the hustle & bustle of the beach outside. Breakfast included was basic if u like eggs or pancakes. I am travelling around Bali & Kuta with my 13 year old and a friend who lives here. This is third *budget” place ive stayed in and is awful compared to the other twom Definitely not recommended unless a room is just a room for you.
GGuest UserThis hotel was just beautiful. We even added an extra night, we felt so good there. Thanks to Pablo and Rio who took care of us. The entire staff was concerned about our well-being. Aldo, you can see the best sunsets there. Movies on the beach at night are always good. The room is very comfortable and clean. I would go back without hesitation!
Our experience did not start well at all as we were given a room next to the extremely noisy dance club (open from 4pm to 10pm) and after closing the staff were cleaning up the bar and could not sleep until midnight! Following day we were moved to a far away room. Quiet and lovely. Staff were amazingly nice and friendly. The room spacious and clean. The open bathroom is lovely but mosquitoes were a real pain! Breakfast was ok, they prepare your eggs, the rest was average. The hotel pool is small but cute. The bigger pools belong to a private company and even hotel guests were asked a minimum spend in order to get any sitting arrangements. A special thanks to Ulfa and the front office team who did their best to help us and make us feel welcome. We do like this side of the island as it is more quiet and a bit more upscale than the sunrise side, but it’s very personal…
GGuest UserMe & my boyfriend just came for breakfast here as the prices are super reasonable & we were so well looked after. The staff were lovely & so friendly & catered to our every need. We both had scrambled eggs on toast which also has some veg mixed in which is a nice touch & we ordered a tea with milk which were so yummy (which is hard to come by in Indonesia!) The tea was 10k & the scrambled eggs was 30k so it was amazing value. Recommend this spot for breakfast when in Gili T!
