We are so grateful to everyone at Tadrai for giving us such a special and idyllic holiday. We were lucky to spend 5 nights here and enjoyed every minute. We feel sorry for anyone who had a less than 5 star experience. Our experience was better than 5 stars. The bures are huge and have everything you could need. If you fall asleep with the doors wide open you get to wake up to the most spectacular sunrise and stunning view. You don’t need a sandy beach right at the resort because you can be taken to your own private one every day if you like. Or walk around the corner to a stunning sandy beach if you really need it. Not only that, but the reef out the front of the resort gave me my favourite ever snorkelling experience- the wonderful Freddie took me out as my guide for about 1.5 hours of pure bliss. Speaking of, as many others have mentioned, the staff make this resort so truly special. They work so hard and yet always have energy left over to make you feel so welcome and looked after. I hope the owners know how lucky they are to have such brilliant all-rounders on their team and give them the credit they are due. As a vegetarian, Charles, Sam and Moses went out of their way to make sure I had something I wanted to eat. The food they made was not only delicious but wholesome and healthy. Unlike other all inclusive places, we didn’t leave feeling sick from overly, unnecessarily rich food. We were so well looked after by the fabulous F&B team - thank you Asa, Kasi, Vika, Vani and all the others we didn’t get to meet. The day trips are so luxurious and personalised. A special thank you to Kasi for being our literal hero, and the wonderful Rocky, Api, Masi, Freddie, Tiko and anyone else we missed for the best activities we have ever had on holidays. Thank you to darling Lavenia for the warmest and sweetest welcome and for resolving any minor issues immediately. Thank you to Nancy and Nash for all they did behind the scenes. Thank you to the gorgeous Lela who went above and beyond to look after us and make our room so special. Thank you to awesome Frisco and polymath Sam for serenading us and bringing so much joy. Thank you to dear Carlos for taking such good care of us. And thank you to the countless others including Johnny, Lassaro, Magi, Izzy, (sorry if I got any names wrong!) and all the ones behind the scenes working so so hard so that we could switch off and have the time of our lives. Vinaka vaka-levu, you are all totoka sara xxx
Mana island is not so ideal location if you wanna head to Yasawa from Mamanuca. In order to get to Yasawa on the same day, you have to return back to port denarau with south sea cruise at a later timing. If early morning,it is possible to book a small boat through the resort or ratukini hostel nearby to beachcomber island. From there, the south sea cruise with pick you up then straight to yasawa.
The place probably need a bit of fixing, theres hole in our windows net which small rodent may enter. In our case, a small mouse hide underneath our closet in between the small gap.
It be great also, if they provide disposable toothbrush and toothpaste, also change of towels at least 2 days.
But that is just little stuffs. Overall, we really enjoy staying there.Literally every staff was very welcoming. Several things you can do like any good star resort. Recommend to travel to Monuriki island nearby.( aka Cast Away island, site location of Tom Hanks movie)
Just came back from Ratu Kini after spending there 4 days with my teenage daughter. We had the family cottage- two rooms with shower and toilet in each and a common area. The cottage was very basic but quite clean and perfect for our needs. Overall, Ratu Kini resort is integrated into a small village, the only one on the island, so plenty of dogs and kids running around. The food was ok, limited choice of menu every lunch and dinner. The prices- same as in NZ or Australia which was a shock to me (min wages in Fiji are 4$!) but it seems that all of Fiji is very expensive for tourists. The staff-very friendly and always smiling, real pleasure. The beach- we were there during the Survivor filming so most of the island was off limits. However, we still had about 3-400 meters of beach and could go around the island on a kayak or a paddle board, just couldn't land on the other beaches. The beach in front of the resort is not the cleanest- plenty of bottles, plastic and broken glass. The snorkeling and swimming was quite nice when the weather was calm. Really enjoyed the snorkeling trip to the Sandbar. Castaway Island was ok. Took Ratu Kini boat both ways. Paul the Captain is fun and a great guy. The boat broke down on the return trip, we had to catch the flight home that evening and also getting stuck in the middle of the sea was not really appealing but Paul managed to get it running finally. Bottom line- we enjoyed our stay but doubt I will be back to Fiji- everything is just way too expensive! SE Asia offers much better value for money.

When I went to the Maldives, I felt that the natural environment was too ordinary.
The rooms are small and the details show the general management of the hotel.
The front desk bill will be wrong. Please allow enough time for inspection.
Staff service attitude is good, can be five stars.
Go snorkeling five stars on a beach island in the middle of the sea! !!
Spent 5 nights celebrating 2 birthdays with my sisters. But unlike the island resorts in Tahiti that provide private boats to pick up guests, we had to take a public ferry (designated time) at the terminal with many stops which took almost 2 hours to arrive (45 min if non-stop). But upon arrival, there were staff singing welcoming songs. Then one staff gave us welcome drinks and provided an overview of the resort. He then walked us to the front desk for check-in and drove us to our 3 beach-front bures. When we entered our room, the luggage was already inside. The only issue we had in our room was the air-conditioning wasn't cooling so we had to call maintenance to fix it. We had a great experience doing almost everything the resort offered: relaxing at the pool, snorkeling at the beach, kayaking, sailing, getting massages; not to mention all three meals that were included. We also did two other paid snorkeling and one scuba diving. Each one was only about 10 to 15 min boat ride. One snorkeling trip was at a small island called honeymoon island which is surrounded by coral reefs. However, we went in the morning during low tide so we had to swim around the outside edges or we would be too close to them. So I suggest going during high tide when swimming above the corals is allowed. Scuba diving experience was also great, which was offered by PADI. We started off at 9am with orientation by watching a video and hands-on training with full gears at the shore. Then met again at 2:30pm to open water and dove for 30+ minutes at 12-meter deep! Other complimentary activities during our stay: 1. Kava ceremony and tasting on Tuesday 2. Kokoda making and tasting on Thursday 3. Management cocktail and Meke performance on Friday Friday buffer dinner had lots of meats and seafoods, including sushi and sashimi! For birthday, housekeeping staff decorated the bed and restaurant staff brought in cake and sang birthday song, which was sweet! The only reason I didn’t give 5-star is because staff friendliness was inconsistent. While most staff were always friendly and greeted us “bula” every time, some staff at the restaurant were not very polite. We already made the hotel manager aware of the situation and was promised the issue would be addressed. Having said that, we have to give a special shout-out to Dimari, restaurant manager, who always carried a big smile on her face and accommodated all our requests! Thank you, Dimari, for making our stay so much more enjoyable!
Chinese family guests, I think 2 to 4 days on the island is not right, it is worth the accommodation experience. The accommodation on the island has its own characteristics, the house is very special, and the sea view is within easy reach. Very shallow beach. Fijian cultural activities with children on the island can participate, hair braiding is 120 RMB and 40 Fijian dollars. Children's buffet is 55 Fijian dollars and 165 RMB. Catering is a problem when taking the elderly, the food is too westernized, and there is no choice. If the elderly have taboos and high blood sugar, please consider carefully. There are 3 restaurants on the island, but often only one is open. The average head consumption is between 240 and 330 RMB per meal. For island expenses, make sure you have cash or multiple credit cards.
Our stay at the Sheraton on Tokoriki Island was lovely. Every member of staff is local Fijian living on nearby islands and are always happy and love playing with the kids, friends can be made everywhere. Big shoutout especially to John the fantastic bartender who made each person feel like his brother or sister and made fantastic drinks. There’s so much else to say so I’ll go over some things I would’ve been interested in knowing before my stay: -snorkeling trips and boat rides to Castaway island and other islands are available at somewhat reasonable prices -shampoo, body wash, and lotion are all provided with many medications, sunscreen, snacks, souvenirs and other necessities available in hotel shop open everyday -don’t forget an outlet adapter -ask about the daily activity schedule (activities every hour) and the walking trails to a beautiful hidden beach with amazing seashells and fruit trees -talk to the chefs, they will make you something off the menu or something that is special to them -getting up and out of the room early around sunrise was one of the best things we did -make sure to get the breakfast buffet added on, many options of food and makes the morning extra relaxing -tap water seems safe to drink now (older reviews say otherwise) and is served at meals but we were still glad we brought a few 1L bottles on the boat with us from Nadi -beach is empty most of the time as most people seemed to stay at the pool, renting equipment is variable based on sea swells and other weather conditions so take advantage when you can -food is pricey especially with some plates having very small amounts of food, if all inclusive there are many delicious things to try -if you are looking to relax by reading and swimming staying here for a week or more is east, if you’re looking for adventure stop here for a couple days then move to a different island Overall, each and every member of the staff wants you to have a memorable time. I hope this review has answered one of your questions!
This was an incredible place to stay--quiet, relaxing, and undemanding. The staff is all friendly, and within a day, they were calling me by name. As an adults-only resort, it makes the place much more enjoyable, since there isn't screaming or yelling and no crazy activity at the main pool. The food and drink are all good too! Highly recommended if you're looking to relax and just get away from everything, or have a special, memorable vacation. To get there, you have to travel by boat or ship from Nadi, Fiji. Both South Sea Cruises and the Malolo Cat are the typical ways one would arrive, and you need to coordinate ahead of time with the resort so they can ensure their boat meets you to take you to the resort. When you arrive, you're immediately welcomed by singers. Accommodations range from bures with pools to bures without dipping pools. They all have outdoor showers (I never actually used the indoor shower), a small refrigerator, and an AC unit. There aren't any TVs. Wifi internet is available in the common areas. Breakfast is included, but lunch and dinner are either by meal plan or charged to your room for payment at check-out. The meals were all excellent, and the way it worked out for me, it was way cheaper to just pay for each meal rather than go for a meal plan. There's a variety of choices at dinner as well, which change from day to day. I really liked the BLT with fries at lunch; their fries were really good! Customer service is excellent. I was able to arrange for a day trip back to Nadi to do a little sightseeing, and the staff helped arranged that. After a few days, I had begun learning the names of the staff as well, because they are all so friendly. There are daily activities, like snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, a village visit. Some may cost extra--like snorkeling to a location away from the resort or visiting a village. But if you want free activities, you can snorkel or kayak right from the beach. There's daily fish feeding too. For extra cost, you can have a private dinner on the pier or watch the sunset from a private point. Sunsets and happy hour are a special time, and the resort has a superb view for sunsets. At the end of my five-night stay, I was really sad to leave because I felt so relaxed and happy.
Just a few days before I arrived in Fiji, I was on the main island. Later, I chose a helicopter to go to the outer island and arrived in Tokoriki in about 20 minutes. The people in the hotel communicated in advance between the arrivals, so the hotel staff greeted them as soon as the plane arrived. I took my luggage and poured water to check in. The villa room type is set, and each room has its own swimming pool. The only drawback is that there is no signal on the mobile phone in the room, and no wife can be searched. Start experiencing primitive life.
Wife is searchable in public areas and there is an infinity pool. The environment is super nice and impeccable. The hotel staff was super enthusiastic. Meals need to be booked in advance, and the view seats will be booked one day in advance. You can enjoy dinner while enjoying the sunset.
Stayed for 2 nights and felt that the house was clean. There was no hot water for showering on the first day, but there was hot water on the second day. The living environment is good, you can see the sea from the window, and the hotel has good greenery. The food was generally good. I had four main meals, one was simple, and the other three were rich and self-service, with meat and vegetables, moderately salty. Breakfast is a little simple, with juice, milk, bread slices, etc. You don't have to pay extra for the fried eggs you want. Drinking water is provided for each meal and is provided by yourself. The service attitude is also OK.
